DAY 1

12:26 AgentJamesMason: As I stood there, looking at myself in the mirror, my chest heaving, tears streaking my face I started to feel …. Not better, but more in control. I felt myself cooling down, the rage and fury and helpless grief tearing me apart starting to subside, starting to freeze. As I cooled down, I felt myself turn numb, as though someone had dipped my heart in anesthetic. Everything inside me began to shift, to realign. Kyle. Ivan had Kyle. And I was going to tear this fucking world apart until I brought him back. But was he even alive… after that final gunshot… NO. He is alive. I knew it. I knew Usov. Kyle had thwarted Usov. Had humiliated him. There was no way Ivan was going to give Kyle a quick, clean death. No, he would torture, humiliate, break Kyle down, turn him into a plaything. My guts started to roil at that thought. I had seen some of Ivan’s other playthings. I forced my thoughts away from that possibility. Focused on the cold numbness. My brain began to work again, and I took another deep breath, shakily heading back into the hotel room.

12:26 AgentJamesMason: There, on the floor, the screen ripped off, lay the laptop. The main body was still intact. I regretted my moment of blind rage now, where I had thrown the laptop into the wall after watching Ivan shoot my Kyle in the gut, but I needed that hard drive. I would start by reviewing every single word and gesture made by Ivan and his cronies. I left the hotel, the laptop in hand. My expression was hard, and my stride was the stride of a man who was ready to kill. As I walked out of the hotel, and headed down the street everyone took one glance at my face, then avoided me. I found a computer repair shop and had the hard drive extracted and transferred to another laptop, luckily it still worked. I took it back to the hotel room, and spent the rest of the night reviewing the recording of that interrogation session. Over and over. Every single word, every gesture, every second.

DAY 2

12:26 AgentJamesMason: By the time the morning came around, I had a plan. I went to my phone, and noticed that I had five voice mails from my superior, Commander Ronald Craig. I ignored them. I wasn’t ready to be told that I wasn’t allowed to do what I had already decided I was going to do. Instead, I called up the CCS, cutting through the red tape and finally getting through to the head of the CCS, Commander Chris Carson. I explained my request. Astonished, he asked me if I knew what a shitstorm would fall on our heads if word of what I was asking for got out. Then he asked me if this was an official request. I answered his question with a long silence. Then I said finally, “This is a personal favor Chris. From the man who saved Captain Nick Wilson’s life.” Then it was his turn for a long silence. Then finally, he spoke up. “Send me the image file. You will have your results tomorrow morning.”

12:26 AgentJamesMason: Then, I had to make another call. This one would be difficult. My superior, Commander Ronald Craig would be frantic by now. I took a deep breath, then called him. As soon as I reported in, I said, “Mason here…” I winced, holding the phone away from my ear. Ronald was not happy, and was giving me shit for not checking in earlier. Finally, the volume of shouting from the phone seemed to die down and I put it up to my ear again. He told me, “All right Mason, we’ll talk about your shocking performance in person. I want you to return to London immediately.” Then in a puzzled voice I said, “Sorry sir, say that again, the line is breaking up.” Ronald screamed at me over the phone, “Don’t play games with me Mason..” Then I said, “Damn, sorry sir, I think this phone is busted. I’ll get a new one and call you back as soon as I can.” Then, as he screamed at me further over the phone, I hung it up. I would be in deep trouble when I reported back in, but Kyle was worth it.

12:26 AgentJamesMason: I had a few more calls to make, choosing a cheap, low-budget hotel in a rough part of Detroit. I called up the manager and booked in one “Simon Runner” to the hotel. I assured him that I would arrive late tonight, and I’d pick the key up from the front desk.
I knew that Ivan and Daniel had already ransacked the Minneapolis Police department, they would have found the booking for “Simon Runner” to Detroit. I was counting on them not realizing that my alias arranged for me by Kyle had been compromised. I knew that with the Syndicate’s resources, they could find the hotel that Simon Runner had checked into. But, I needed one more piece to set my trap. Once again, I called on Chris Carson. I needed his help for one final time. I explained what I needed, and he agreed, saying it was a damn sight less risky than my first request. Using his contacts, he arranged for a Detroit detective to travel to the Oasis Hotel, and check in as “Simon Runner” late that night, then leave again without being seen. The trap was set. Now it was time to see who I caught.

DAY 3

12:26 AgentJamesMason: I barely ate, and when I did, the food tasted dull, without flavor. I slept finally, for a few hours. Then, I checked my computer. There it was… the results. All of the security camera footage from every single CCTV camera connected to the Detroit police department, connected in real-time to the CCS’s groundbreaking facial recognition software. Chris had used the image of the Syndicate agent who was heading to Detroit to find me, Daniel was his name. Except, thanks to Kyle, I wasn’t in Detroit. I was in Chicago. But I would be in Detroit very soon. Or at least, Simon Runner would. And there… there he was…. Meeting with other men at a cafe near downtown… and walking into the Oasis Hotel. I smiled. Well, the Syndicate wanted Agent James Mason? They would have Agent James Mason. But not on their terms. On mine.

12:26 AgentJamesMason: It was time for Simon Runner to take a trip to Detroit and spring the trap for this mysterious Syndicate agent, Daniel. My flight was set for tomorrow morning, early, and I laid down and tried to get some sleep. I allowed myself a moment, a brief window, where my emotions could be unthawed. And I thought of Nick who was on a mission, and out of communication. What I wouldn’t give to have him by my side right now. I wondered what he would think of Kyle. And then of course I thought of Kyle. And I let myself feel the agonizing grief, the soul-wrenching sorrow, the longing to hold him in my arms, to wake up just one more time with his lean, athletically muscled body nestled in my arms. I had let him down… I should have insisted on staying with him. But I hadn’t. Oh Kyle… I’m coming for you.. I drifted off to sleep with tears moistening my bearded face.

DAY 1

12:26 Spy_Daniel_Allen: After getting out of the Minneapolis Police Department, I rush to the Syndicate van waiting in front of the building with my fellow agents and Ivan, along with Kyle and Xavier. After getting inside of the van and closing the door, I take off my mask and lay Kyle down. Three wounds… It will take some time to recover from them. I nod to my agent who is trained in first aid to take care of him, it will probably be enough to keep him alive until we arrive at one of the US Syndicate bases, then I sit down next to Ivan, rest my back against the wall, and close my eyes. Not talking… There was another important thing to focus on now… Mason…

12:26 Spy_Daniel_Allen: I respected Ivan, he was strong, brutal, clever… But I still can't believe how he hoisted himself with his own petard. The Syndicate was really unhappy about this situation, so this time, they decided to send their own men for Mason, putting me in charge. I avoided talking with Ivan during the journey, I don't want to hear how he fell into his own trap, and I don't think he wants to talk about it either. So instead, I dreamed how I would catch our heroic agent, and drag him directly to the Syndicate's heart. Yeah… It was going to be awesome. I knew it was hard and challenging, but that only added some excitement to the current situation. And I was also aware that Mason couldn’t escape from Detroit; when I told my agent to take care of the preparations for getting us to Detroit, he also flooded Detroit with our agents, instructing them to keep an eye on the city's main exits, airports, roads, trains… All of them were under careful observation at the moment. He can't go back to London without me knowing… Yeah, that was his end, I was going to get him this time, by myself…

12:26 Spy_Daniel_Allen: We headed south, and finally left Minnesota, entering Iowa. A small but important Syndicate base was there, in the countryside near Des Moines. We were going there tonight for some rest, and also planning to leave Ivan and the captive cops there. Usov was not coming with us this time, he was still injured, and I was also instructed not to take him along with us, from my superiors. They didn't want Usov along this time which was understandable for sure.

12:26 Spy_Daniel_Allen: And we finally arrive. Without paying attention to the Syndicate soldiers' cheers and welcomings, I headed to my room. They call this an achievement? I was going to show them what an achievement was. You can't outrun the Syndicate, not forever at least, and Mason was about to learn that.

DAY 2

12:26 Spy_Daniel_Allen: I woke up early in the morning, did some exercises, then I took my two fellow agents, and hit the road once again, to Detroit this time, a very long journey. We were going to greet him with my agents, no need to make an unnecessary crowd by bringing extra soldiers, right? Besides, there wasn't a clever and cute detective to save him this time. It took one day for us to arrive there. I didn't choose an airplane since it can be dangerous, I might be recognized very easily.

DAY 3

12:26 Spy_Daniel_Allen: Next morning, I slowly opened my eyes while the sun was barely rising, at dawn. Yeah we were in Detroit finally. But I was not going to attack directly, everything should be perfect and the local authorities shouldn't suspect anything. We needed Mason alive, and he would "of course" cause trouble. I needed to do my best. First I met with the other Syndicate agents who were already in the city, trying to be sure that our little agent hadn’t left the city… Oh thank god, yeah, I was so close. I can feel it. The plan was not that hard either, we had already found out where "Simon Runner" was staying. The only problem was we needed to take Mason from the hotel without anyone becoming suspicious.

12:26 Spy_Daniel_Allen: Alright… I can do that, it is not that hard. That day, first, I went to the hotel where Simon Runner was staying and talked with the hotel manager. Yeah, pointing a gun at a civilian and bribing him with some money can really be convincing, I know. Besides, I didn't ask for anything too hard. He just needed to kick out his customers from his hotel tomorrow, and I was going to pay him for his trouble. It was going to be clean work. Afterwards, I hired some people, men and women, various people, from different ages and placed them in the hotel, just to make sure Mason didn't suspect anything was wrong in the hotel. The hotel manager told me that Simon Runner was already in the hotel, that's good, we are on the right track. But I couldn’t show my face, he might recognize me quickly.

12:26 Spy_Daniel_Allen: However, creating that kind of plan took all day, so I couldn't attack that day. But it was alright… I planned everything carefully, and there was not something wrong in my plan, at least, for the things I can do from my side. Tomorrow evening, that hotel was going to be a mess, and I was going to push a MI6 agent to my car forcefully while his hands were tied. It was going to be fun…

DAY 4

12:26 AgentJamesMason: I got up the next morning, and made my preparations. First, I dyed my hair black and shaved off my beard. That would help to throw off any watchers the Syndicate had put in place when I arrived. I packed my luggage, made sure my weapon and my combat knife were securely stored, then departed for Detroit, heading to the airport and catching my flight, using another assumed name and identity that I often used, Jimmy Masters, to throw the watchers off further. I arrived in Detroit, got off my plane, collected my luggage, then hired a car. I got some food, had a shower, and took a few moments to review my plan. I needed to get Daniel by himself. I drove my car to a spot across the street from the Oasis Hotel. It gave me a great view of the car park. I kept a low profile in the car, and kept the car park under surveillance the entire day.

12:26 AgentJamesMason: I didn’t see any sign of him, or anything unusual, until that evening. I saw a Van pull up, and there he was, that bastard Daniel, with two of his thugs, getting out of the Van, heading towards the hotel. I was guessing they thought that they were going to break into Simon Runner’s room and take a surprised James Mason captive. They thought wrong. The room was empty, but not even the hotel Manager knew that, still thinking that Simon Runner had checked in late last night. I checked my gear one last time, I had on some sturdy work boots, blue jeans, and a tight blue t-shirt. I was wearing a black leather jacket covering my shoulder harness. I had my Glock, my knife, ziptie and I was ready for action. I wasn’t 100%, I knew I wasn’t. My back wound was not fully recovered, it was still in stitches, but it was feeling better than a few days ago. I could manage this. I’d have to fight smart.

12:26 AgentJamesMason: I waited until all three men had entered the hotel, then left the car, walking up to the hotel entrance, every sense on high alert, my hand ready to grab my Glock at a moment’s notice, taking in every detail of the run-down hotel, it was shabby, badly needing repairs. It was two stories tall, and I could see a large lobby with a restaurant as you walked in the front door, and a stairway up to the second level beside the big reception desk. Casually, I entered the hotel, walking with the stride of a man who wasn’t concerned, but inward, I was ready to explode into violence at the slightest moment. If I could get the jump on the three of them as the strode past me, I could have his two thugs out quickly, then I could take him.

DAY 4

12:26 Spy_Daniel_Allen: Yeah, here we are… In front of the Oasis Hotel… I get out of the black van of ours before my men, and check myself one more time. I was wearing black combat boots, black camo pants, grey t-shirt under a bulletproof vest. I knew Mason can be really dangerous and skillful when he wants, so I had to be just as resourceful. I have my silenced gun, two knives, one of them is a small dagger and the other one is a combat knife, a gas grenade, handcuffs, some rope, and lastly, a bottle of chloroform with a handkerchief. I mean, it won't put Mason to sleep for days, it's effects do not last too long, maybe 5 minutes or so… But knocking someone out for 5 minutes would definitely be enough for me, doesn't matter if that person is also Agent James Mason.

12:26 Spy_Daniel_Allen: I slowly went inside the building, and checked with the receptionist. I knew my plan was perfect, there was just one thing bothering me: Mason had been watching the interrogation remotely, and he knew we were coming for him. But he didn't try to leave Detroit… There was an explanation for this in my mind actually… Byrne and Mason, yeah… I checked every CCTV camera in Minneapolis in order to understand where the hell Mason was, especially examined the places that Kyle generally went. I didn't have time to check all of the records since we were also busy trying to come up with a plan to rescue Ivan. That's actually the reason why I learned Mason left Minneapolis from Usov, never seeing that from CCTV records. But I did see the little date between the detective and the agent after Mason got out of the hospital. It's very clear that they have an affair… Fuck, I should have told this to Ivan as well, it would be very useful when it comes to breaking Kyle… Anyways, I am going to tell him one way or another; Kyle is not going anywhere after all, we don't need to rush anything...

12:26 Spy_Daniel_Allen: So that would explain why Mason didn't try to leave the city… But still, the intention of his was the missing piece... He can't be "madly" in love with Kyle in such a short time, right? Was he also creating a rescue plan? No… It can't be… Mason is a very clever guy, but he wouldn't try to rescue Kyle by himself… That would be so dumb… And it's obvious that MI6 won't let one of their best agents risk himself just for a local inspector… Hmm… Then what was the reason?

12:26 Spy_Daniel_Allen: With these thoughts on my mind, I asked the receptionist if Simon Runner was inside, and he confirmed that he was still checked into his room… Well, Mason's intentions don’t matter at this point, I had him cornered. I was going to get him. With a small grin and a nod to my agents, I slowly headed towards the stairs, and went up to the second floor. I order one of my agents to stay there as soon as we go upstairs, as a guardian in case something suspicious happens.

12:26 Spy_Daniel_Allen: Then I slowly approach the door that has a "No:4" sign on it. Yup… We were there, the lion's den. Taking a deep long breath, I raise my foot and throw a quick but powerful kick to the door, opening it very easily. As soon as it opens, my second agent rushes inside with a pistol in his hand. I take my silenced gun as well just in case, and walk inside.

12:26 Spy_Daniel_Allen: Wait… he is not here? What the hell? I looked puzzled, and I was confused. The manager said he was here? Hmm… Something was wrong, but that was exciting as well. I love challenges, good job Mason... With a quick hand gesture to my agent, I motion at him to look around the hotel, the second floor especially. Maybe he left his room for something. As soon as he leaves, I start examining the room in order to find something useful. This room is pretty clean as well, very interesting…

12:26 AgentJamesMason: Casually, I walk through the lobby, taking in every detail of the shabby room, the threadbare carpets, the walls with their peeling paint, the grime on the carpets. I head up the stairs, glancing up casually. There, at the top of the stairs was one of the agents that had come in with Daniel. He wasn’t looking my way, but the opposite direction, further down the upstairs hall. I brought my face down, staring at the stairs, not looking at him. I was hoping that if he looked my way, he would only see a dark haired man trudging up the stairs and ignore me. Not the reddish-blond hair of Agent James Mason.

12:26 AgentJamesMason: As I near the top of the stairs, I hear a loud CRACK sound echoing from somewhere down a side corridor. I was guessing that was Daniel breaking into my empty room. I needed to move quickly now. As I neared the top of the stairs, I suddenly exploded into rapid violence, reaching out to grab the Syndicate agent from behind, wrapping my powerfully muscled right arm around his head, trying to move fast enough to cover his mouth with my hand, then giving a violent pull and twist with my grip striving to break his neck before he knows what has happened.

12:26 Spy_Daniel_Allen: My agent on guard can't understand what happened. As you cover his mouth, he tries to yell all of a sudden, but his yells are muffled. He tries to do an elbow strike to your ribs with his left arm, while the right one goes directly to his belt and presses a button. But you were very quick, and as soon as he presses his button, you violently break his neck just before his strike can hit you.

12:26 Spy_Daniel_Allen: However, after he falls to ground, you hear a loud siren sound just for a second, from two different sources, me and my other agent. I chuckle as I finally hear the sound and get out of the room. But my other agent was already outside, and he quickly rushed towards our "dead" guard. Seeing you and the troop lying there, he blindly shoots two bullets, and takes cover in order to save himself from any attack that may come from you, either with your pistol or another weapon.

12:26 Spy_Daniel_Allen: Afterwards, he throws his smoke grenade without showing himself towards you just to make you blind. And in the meantime, I arrive at the war zone...

12:26 AgentJamesMason: I break the neck of the first man, but he is very well trained, and manages to hit a panic button on his tactical belt. I hear a siren wail, briefly, coming from further down the hall, and off to the side, down a connecting hall where room 4 is. FUCK, I think. As always, the Syndicate only hires the most experienced men. Even their lowest ranking agents pose a real threat. I see another man come racing around the corner of the connecting hall, room 4 is very near the junction, and just after I release the dead Agent with a broken neck, the second Agent opens fire. Both shots go wide, neither one hitting me, but the smoke grenade he throws starts to release a thick cloud of gas, making it impossible to see in the area.

12:26 AgentJamesMason: Thinking rapidly, every moment seeming to pass in slow motion, a brief image of Kyle’s handsome face flashes in front of my eyes, and I think, “Don’t worry Kyle, I’m coming. Hold on.” I dive forward, my battle-trained reflexes and powerful combat-forged muscle reacting instantly, before the smoke grenade has released all it’s thick vapour. An outrageous surge of pain rips through my back as I shoulder roll towards the grenade, but I ignore the pain, despite what damage my roll might have done. I grab the smoke grenade and toss it back down the hall, so the rest of it’s vapour starts to cover the junction where the second Agent is at. Just before the smoke becomes too thick to penetrate, I also see a second man approach, that must be Daniel. The entire area is hazy, and vision is difficult.

12:26 AgentJamesMason: I stand up, wincing, and realizing that there is a small damp patch on the back of my t-shirt, the stitches for my back wound have torn open, and are starting to soak my shirt with blood. I push the pain aside, and rapidly, hoping I am fast enough to catch the Agent before he repositions, I pull out my Glock, and fire off a shot at the last position I remembered him being at, then throwing myself to the other side of the hallway to prevent myself from being an easy target.

12:26 Spy_Daniel_Allen: Yeah, from far away, I can see a guy. Interesting, black hair? Oh Mason… You are definitely adorable. I chuckle and try to point my gun towards you, but suddenly, you throw the smoke grenade towards me, and I can't see and aim properly. I lower my gun a little bit and shout "What a nice surprise you have for us Mason… I am glad you could make it just in time…" I knew he couldn't see me either, so I wasn't too worried.

12:26 Spy_Daniel_Allen: However, after I lost sight of Mason, I heard a gunshot and a yell. Fuck, my other agent's voice. This guy is hunting my Agent’s one by one. But still, he can't escape. He was still injured, and I don't know how long he can go on like that. My gun is in my right hand, I take out my combat knife with my left hand, and start moving and approaching very slowly, ready for any possible threat that may arise.

12:26 Spy_Daniel_Allen: You hit my other agent in his leg, and he whimpers in pain. Shivering and grunting a little, he points his gun towards the place where you were at when you shot him, and starts shooting blindly once again, over and over, non-stop, probably trying to prevent you from coming closer to him. He shoots until his gun clip is out of bullets.

12:26 AgentJamesMason: Situational awareness was one of the most valuable lessons I learned during my training in the SAS. Before the smoke bomb was released, obscuring the hall, I had the position of the hallway fixed in my mind, how far the junction was, where the Agent had been positioned, and where Daniel’s last position was. I hear Daniel’s joking, mocking voice calling out after me as his other agent yells in agony. Sounds like my wild shot hit something, then bullets blanket the side of the hall that I had just vacated.

12:26 AgentJamesMason: I darted forward, covering the distance rapidly towards the junction where Daniel and the Agent were at. I shrugged off my leather jacket as I ran, holding it in my left hand. Surging forward, I toss the jacket through the thick, smoky air, unable to see anything even this close to the junction. I reasoned that Daniel would be staying close to the wall for cover, and he would be against the wall opposite to the wall where the Agent I had shot had been using for cover. I hoped my guess was right.

12:26 AgentJamesMason: But one thing I was certain of, the Agent I had wounded still had not moved from his position. As I surged forward, right after tossing the thick leather jacket, I fired my Glock again, at the place where the wounded Agent was likely still at. My back was lanced with pain from my reopened wound, I could feel the blood dampening the back of my t-shirt, but grimly, I ignored it. This was for Kyle. I would get that bastard Daniel and I would make him talk. My left hand darted down towards my combat knife and pulled it out, as I rushed forward, ready to face off with this Syndicate agent that thought he could hunt James Mason.

12:26 Spy_Daniel_Allen: I quickly take cover while watching my Agent at the same time. Then suddenly, James throws his jacket towards me from the haze. I grin and move my left hand quickly upwards, stopping the jacket with my hand and dagger in the air, grabbing it. Nice try Mason, very good attempt. But not good enough. I was already alerted. You can't trick me with small tricks like those. I toss the jacket directly to the place where he came from. But suddenly, as I threw the jacket, another gunshot, and another whimper. No, I can't deal with my agent right now, I have more important things to focus on at the moment. As soon as I hear the gunshot, I move sideways, and shoot towards the area where I heard the voice, aiming my gun a bit lower, trying to injure James in the leg. I don't think he can react that quickly after firing his gun.

12:26 Spy_Daniel_Allen: Afterwards, without caring if I hit you or not, I quickly run through the foggy air, revealing myself completely, but even so we can't see each other properly. Still, I don't think you can outrun me,and I am not wasting any time to take cover. As soon as I step into the hall area, I charge towards the place I thought you would be at and jump, hoping to tackle you down and pin you to the ground. We both hear the moans and grunts of my other agent. Apparently, he is not in a position to fight… What can I say, exciting… It is just you and me Mason…

12:26 AgentJamesMason: Mere moments after I shot the other agent a second time, I hear a second gunshot. The smoke grenade has filled the hall with such thick vapour, it is impossible to see more than a hand in front of you. The shot only narrowly misses my left leg. That was Daniel, it had to be. The only reason he missed me is that I was moving when he fired, otherwise he would have got me in the leg. Grunting, my knife in my left hand, I turn suddenly, twisting in place, pivoting on my foot, towards the sound of the gunshot.

12:26 AgentJamesMason: Suddenly, as I turn in place, a thick shape materializes out of the fog, it’s Daniel!! He’s leaping right towards me!! His heavy, muscular body, made heavier by the bullet-proof vest he is wearing slams directly into my powerful torso, covered only by the light blue t-shirt I am wearing. The impact causes me to drop my knife and gun, and throws me backwards. I am a trained fighter though, and my reaction is instinctive, I wrap my arms around Daniel’s waist as I fall, and twist to the side in the process, pushing hard off the dirty carpet with my right foot to help me twist. I’m trying my hardest to throw Daniel to the ground as I fall, planning on twisting so I land on top of the Syndicate agent. I can tell already, from my first contact with him, that he's a powerful, well-muscled man.

12:26 Spy_Daniel_Allen: I can't see properly as well, but as soon as I leap forward, I manage to hit James from his powerful, muscled torso. Yeah, now we can start playing properly. My gun and my knife were still in my hand, but suddenly, his arms reached to my waist as well, and dragged me to the ground with him. Because of that fast reaction, my gun drops to the ground, but I still hold my combat knife firmly in my left hand. But Mason also try to throw me to the side, my mind thinks quickly as well, he is trying to land on top of me. This guy's instincts are awesome.

12:26 Spy_Daniel_Allen: And we both land on the ground, and Mason managed to drag me to the side as well because of that quick reaction of his, he is almost on top of me. But I was already prepared. After my back hits the ground, I grunt a little bit, but still don't hold back my strike. I try to stab my knife directly into Mason's arm before he can rise on his knees to establish his dominance on top of me. I don't think it would cause permanent damage on his body, but his right arm may be useless for some time, especially during the fight if I manage to stab directly where I planned. And after finishing that strike with my knife, I clench my right fist, try to charge my right arm as well in order to throw a powerful hook punch directly to his jaw area, trying to push him off me.

12:26 AgentJamesMason: My back erupts in further pain as my combat instincts force my powerful muscle to obey, even as I fall back and twist to slam Daniel to the carpet beside me, I feel my move complete perfectly, with Daniel laid out on his back, and my heavy muscle angled off to one side, my arms starting to unwind from around his waist, as I prepare to push forward and rise up to my knees to get on top of him. But Daniel is clearly not just some common Syndicate fighter, but a fully trained agent. Before I can completely untwist my right arm from around his body, he shows me how good he is by bringing his left arm up and down to stab my right arm! I catch the flash of motion through my connection with his body, feeling his muscles slightly tense and release the strike. I fight to pull my right arm aside, but I don’t entirely manage it. Daniel’s blade cuts down through the edge of my muscled forearm with a shocking lighting bolt of pain, it starts bleeding immediately. But since it was a glancing blow, and my arm was still resting against his torso, I hope he managed to stab himself a little bit as well.

12:26 AgentJamesMason: Cursing loudly, “FUCK!” I start to sit up further, but although my right arm is now free, my left is still getting free. Just as I get my left arm free from underneath Daniel’s back, but before I can get my guard up, Daniel’s right arm flies up from the ground and smashes directly into my jaw. My jaw had been dislocated only about 10 days ago, and it was still very sore. The blow hurts me badly, and a glob of spit and blood sprays out of my hurt jaw. I see stars for a moment, and collapse backwards, beside Daniel, with my feet against his right side, and my shoulders and back propped up on the wall of the hallway. Even in the middle of my light-headedness and the pain from that punch to my jaw, I know that if I don’t take that knife out of the fight, I could be seriously wounded. Somehow, I raise my right boot up, and kick it forward hard, extending it over Daniel’s stomach, trying to kick the blade out of his left hand, while at the same time, I kick my left foot upwards, trying to smash my left boot into Daniel’s jaw to hurt and stun him. I fight to regroup my legs afterwards, and try to get my feet under me, tasting blood in my mouth from Daniel’s punch still.

12:26 AgentJamesMason: I can still use my right arm, the wound on my right forearm is gory, and bleeding a lot, but the cut missed any major tendons or blood vessels. But it is not quite 100%, perhaps about 90%. I can only hope that Daniel wounded himself as well when his knife strike partially missed. But then my heart sank, of course he wouldn’t have wounded himself, he was wearing a bullet-proof vest, which offers protection against piercing weapons like bullets and stabbing knives. Also, the smoke from the grenade was starting to clear, and we could see each other better.

12:26 Spy_Daniel_Allen: Yeah, just like I thought. My knife grazes Mason's skin sharply, not quite what I have imagined, but a wound was a wound. And my right fist quickly smashes into his jaw as well, forcing him to fall backwards. My knife stab also touches my waist a little bit, but since I was wearing a bulletproof, it didn't matter. As soon as Mason gets off me, I try to raise on my butt just a little bit but then a sharp heel digs into my stomach and I gasp and grunt very hard "HNNNGG…" Oh this guy is fucking good, even when is going down, he also tries to drag his opponent as well. While trying to take a quick breath, I raise my right arm, my elbow to protect myself from any attack that may come to my upper body, flex my muscles. And thanks to that reflex of mine, I manage to block the left foot of Mason that is aimed at my jaw.

12:26 Spy_Daniel_Allen: Any yet, it hurts. Wow… This guy is really angry and doesn't go down without a huge fight. My right elbow is also bruised because of that boot's rubber sole, aching just a little, but it isn't something that can't be ignored for now. After stopping his foot in the air, I push it harshly to sideways in order to disbalance him just for a second, trying to gain some time. With some groans, I manage to rise on my butt finally after blocking that second kick, and rush myself forward with my feet, and then on my knees in order to stab my knife to his stomach now, somewhere that is not fatal. I bring down my left hand to Mason's abs, sharply to stab him but… I only realize after my strike finishes that my knife is not on my hand. Fuck, I should have dropped it when Mason kicked me in the stomach.

12:26 Spy_Daniel_Allen: Still, I try to bring down my left hand hard to his abs area just to tire him hard a little more. Then something comes to my mind, playing a little dirty. With that way, I can also learn his reason why he stayed here. Gritting my teeth and preparing my next attack, I grunt "Looking for Kyle, Mason?". Yeah, it may both distract him, and also give me a little clue why he is still in Detroit. While I was talking, I raised my right fist again in the air, and tried to bring it down hard to his solar plexus. A solid punch can help me to gain enough time to finish him off.

12:26 AgentJamesMason: Daniel is fast, and well-trained, blocking my kick to his face with his right arm. My respect for his skill increases, this is not going to be easy. I start to pull myself up, the blood from my sliced forearm dripping down onto my t-shirt, when Daniel suddenly explodes, rushing forward before I can get my feet under me, only managing to get to my knees.

12:26 AgentJamesMason: He drives his left hand towards my hard, powerful abs, but I’m puzzled, it looks like he’s holding a knife, but his hand is empty. I tense my abs, and the side of his fist slams into my hard, ridged abs, getting a grunt out of me, but not doing any real damage. Maybe if it had been a proper punch! Then, I hear him asking if I’m looking for Kyle. My blood runs cold, and fear grips my stomach. Does he know about me and Kyle? The Syndicate would use that knowledge to hurt my Kyle even more. Rage boils in me like an inferno. I keep a lid on it though, using it as fuel for my fight. Knowing even more now that I have to get to Kyle, I HAVE TO.

12:26 AgentJamesMason: We are both on our knees, facing each other now, and my combat training and skill reacts as I see that right fist coming in towards my solar plexus, a potentially deadly blow. My left arm drops down to cover my body, and Daniel’s right fist slams into my thick, hard, powerful bicep with tremendous force, making me realize again how skilled and strong Daniel is. My jaw is aching, dripping blood still from Daniel’s heavy, skilled fist. The back of my shirt is wet with blood where the stitches from the knife wound I received from Ivan are splitting open from the heavy exertion of the fight. This pain, and the pain from my forearm is hammering at my brain. But I breathe deep into the pain, I focus hard, fighting through it. I am not afraid of pain.

12:26 AgentJamesMason: I growl as I react quickly, my right hand darting forward trying to seize Daniel’s left wrist, a low power move that I should be able to carry out despite the cut to my forearm. I spit out, “If you touch one hair on Kyle’s head, you sick bastard, I will rip your head off.” As I say this, I power up, wedging my left boot on the bottom of the wall directly behind me, using my powerful leg like a spring to push me up and forward, launching my right knee directly up towards the underside of Daniel’s jaw. I’m hoping I manage to get a firm grip on Daniel’s left hand to prevent him from blocking my knee strike. I’m hoping that I launched my attack fast enough to land on his jaw before he has a chance to recover his right fist and block me. It’s a fierce battle now, both of us with fast reflexes and skills.

12:26 Spy_Daniel_Allen: Mason blocks my punch by flexing his bicep. Not gonna lie, this guy is so strong even when he is injured. But he doesn’t know me… He was just about to learn what I am capable of. But hearing his words, I grin evilly… Oh my precious lord… One of the top agents of MI6 is really risking his life just for a local inspector? I really can't believe my ears, but that was just adding enjoyment to the current situation. Still smiling, I pierce Mason's eyes with my gaze, pretty confident that after that venting, a powerful attack will come.

12:26 Spy_Daniel_Allen: And I was right. He quickly grabs my left wrist to hold me. But instead of trying to free my arm, I hold his right wrist as well with my left locked hand, grabbing it firmly. Afterwards, he positions his left leg, oh he is up to something. Still grinning, I quickly roll myself backwards while still holding his wrist before he throws his right knee towards my jaw, trying to drag him towards myself and also neutralize his attack. Because of my move, I manage to protect my jaw from his powerful knee, dodging it professionally. But I may not always be that lucky and fast. So I need to drag him down quickly, I thought to myself. As soon as my back touches the ground, I raise my right leg and fire a quick front kick to his groin, trying to prevent him from falling on top of me and also to damage him harshly.

12:26 Spy_Daniel_Allen: And a little more provocation will only increase the tension and excitement, right? After finishing my strike, I chuckle a little bit. In a sarcastic tone, I mumble "Oh don't worry… I don't need to touch him, Usov is taking good care of him…"

12:26 AgentJamesMason: I seize Daniel’s left wrist, and start to drive up with my knee strike, when he grabs my right wrist with his left. FUCK… I’m off balance now, on one leg as he falls backwards. He not only dodges my knee to his face, but pulls me down with his grip on my right wrist. There is no way I can prevent his move, not while I’m on one leg, I fall forward towards him, trying to land on top of him at least, but as he lands the highly skilled Syndicate agent drives his right foot up towards my groin, but luckily for me, my right knee and leg is pulled up high for the knee strike that Daniel dodged. His kick lands on my raised up leg instead of my groin, but the force of his kick tosses me off to Daniel’s left side instead of on top of him.

12:26 AgentJamesMason: My heavy muscled body slams back first into the carpet beside Daniel, and immediately the heavy landing causes the wound in my back to send a sharp, paralyzing pain ripping through my body. I gasp, and all my muscles twitch from the impact. This is bad. I have to fight, have to fight. Kyle needs me. Just after I land on the carpet, as I’m gasping, trying to recover from the sharp pain to my torn open wound in my back, I hear Daniel’s mocking statement about Kyle being with Ivan. That fills me with fear and rage. Kyle… hold on Kyle…. I’m coming.

12:26 AgentJamesMason: I need time to recover from the shock of that landing, but I don’t have time, I have to keep fighting. For Kyle. I use the rage from Daniel’s words to empower me, pushing up on my right arm, my teeth gritted, levering myself over towards Daniel as he is lying beside me, trying to throw my heavy left fist down in an broad swing towards Daniel’s face, while pushing forward with my feet, trying to land a hard blow to that sarcastic, arrogant Syndicate agent to distract him, maybe stun him, long enough to allow me to push my heavy, muscled body across his chest. If I can just pin him down beneath me….

12:26 Spy_Daniel_Allen: Yeah, just as I thought. He is struggling. I mean, he even shouldn't fight in that scenario, but still, he is trying his best. My kick connects with his leg instead of his groin, acceptable. This is Agent James Mason after all. Then he falls next to me, I continue to grin. This is really fun. However, this guy is fast, even though to the pain in his back, he doesn't waste anytime, what the hell? How can an injured person attack that fast? This guy has a heart, wow... Since I wasn't expecting a quick strike like this, I can't raise my left elbow to block the punch in time, only manage to stop it partially. Moreover, I couldn't flex my biceps in time as well, so even though I stopped the punch, both his hand and my arm hit my face. Not with the full force, but enough to make me hurt.

12:26 Spy_Daniel_Allen: Oh this guy is good. Really good. I can understand "just a bit" why Usov couldn't catch this guy. Dudes like this always fight till their last breath. Admirable quality, not gonna lie… Inhaling fast, I reach down to my utility dagger, a small but effective one with my right hand while the left one trying to push Mason from his chest. This guy tries to pin me under him, trying to trap me. What can I say, fierce fireball… I can't rub my face, it hurts, but can't focus on this situation. I make a wry face unintentionally.

12:26 Spy_Daniel_Allen: I still continue to trying to push him from his chest with my left arm, attempting to prevent him to trap me completely. But I am almost under him. I don't know if he realizes my knife but I don't have too much time. Without thinking, I charge my knife towards Mason's injured back. It's a very small knife, the damage that it will cause usually is not too much, especially on muscled guys like Mason. But I strongly believe it is strong enough to paralyze him when it connects with his injury, it's a knife after all. And the size of it is also a relief, he may not notice it.

12:26 AgentJamesMason: Grunting, my heavy left fist smashes into Daniel, but he blocks it partially with his left elbow. But finally, I get a blow in on this dangerous Syndicate agent. I struggle to get control of him, my hands instinctively regrouping, and seeking to control his arms. My left hand reaches for his right wrist, as my right hand seeks to pin his left arm against his face, the muscles rippling with power and determination, trying to overpower Daniel’s left arm, hoping I can manage to keep it pinned against the side of his head.

12:26 AgentJamesMason: Daniel is pushing up with his left arm, fighting me, trying to use his strength to outmuscle me and push me off him. He is strong, very strong. I grit my teeth, and flex my hard, powerful muscles fighting against him as he tries to push me off. I have the advantage of weight. My left arm is still seeking his right arm, but he’s keeping it free of my grip, he’s reaching down to his waist, to his belt… FUCK!! My battle instincts, honed over years of experience instantly warns me that he’s got another weapon on his tactical belt. Desperate, I try to push forward with all my weight to pin him down. I pull back my left hand close to my side, grunting, sweating heavily, pain hammering my brain from my reopened wound on my back, my hurt jaw, my cut forearm, but none of it is a serious injury…. Yet. None of these injuries have crippled me…. Yet. But it is all adding up, slowing me down, draining my strength and stamina. The longer this fight goes on, the more of an advantage the younger, incredibly skilled and very strong Syndicate Agent is going to have. I can’t let Daniel bring another weapon into the fight.

12:26 AgentJamesMason: Then, his right arm flashes up and down, plunging towards my back. It’s another knife. And… the bastard is trying to drive it into my wound! If that hits… this fight will be over. If I were 100% in top condition, I would have the speed and energy to grab his wrist and force the knife out of his grip. But I am not 100% But I do manage to deflect the strike by lashing out with my left hand to seize his wrist. FUCK.. Daniel is strong… the blade slices down my left side, the small utility blade scoring a cut all down the side of my thick, heavily muscled lats, but I’m not strong enough to deflect the hit entirely. I gasp as yet another wound is added to my suffering body, but at least the cut is not deep. Grimly, I fight on, even as my blood starts to drip from this newest wound out the cut on my side, soaking my sliced t-shirt and dripping onto Daniel’s bulletproof vest.

12:26 AgentJamesMason: But now at least, I have a grip on his right wrist. The blade plunges into the heavy thick bulletproof vest, but despite the pain, I don’t let up. I PUSH down on his right arm, summoning all the muscle I can, trying to drive the utility blade down with enough force to puncture his bullet proof vest, or at least to keep his right hand out of action. My own right hand is still struggling with Daniel’s left arm, keeping it occupied. My right arm is only about 90% as strong as normal, because of the earlier cut from Daniel’s first knife, but I also have my heavy weight adding to my strength. Then, as I struggle to keep control of both of Daniel’s hands, my right knee suddenly comes smashing in, and it is aimed directly for the side of Daniel’s head, targeting his jaw with a very heavy, very savage knee strike. My energy levels are further depleted by this intense struggle. And I am starting to bleed more. I can feel myself beginning to tire, but grimly, with total focus and determination, I give everything I have to this battle. I have to win. I have to save Kyle. Daniel is my only lead to Kyle. Hang on Kyle, I’m coming.

12:26 Spy_Daniel_Allen: Ugh… I can't stop him properly. He is still strong and he also uses his weight. I can't push him. And moreover, he somehow understood I was going to stab him, so he tried to avoid just a little bit of my strike, but I still managed to hurt him. Yeah… This is taking too much time… But still, focus Daniel. He is injured, time is on your side. But my right hand is also grabbed by Mason… Fuck fuck fuck… Agh… He pushes my hand down, hard. Unwillingly, I am forced to drop that knife, at least I was wearing my bulletproof vest though. Everything could have been much worse if it weren't for that.

12:26 Spy_Daniel_Allen: Then a sudden sharp pain in my temple… I yell this time too "AHHHHH… Grrrr…" This idiot throw his right knee directly to my head, fuck… It hurts. Feeling a little bit dizzy, I shake my head. Ufff… I need to distract him, I need to free myself. But how? Hmm… Ahh of course, with his weak spot. I grunt while still moaning a little, almost like a headache "Ahh… You are hopeless Mason… Even if you manage to find Byrne, do you really think you will encounter the man you fell in love with?"

12:26 Spy_Daniel_Allen: And yet, I was sincere. He is an expert on Syndicate, he would know about the many different techniques we use on our prisoners to brainwash them. But mentioning this might help me to distract him, maybe weaken his hold just a little bit. If so, I am going to try to push him with my full force. But still, I won't trust just to chance. With another grunt, I raise my left knee in order to strike his arm and body's side sharply, trying to tire Mason down more. It's a bit hard, and I am not sure my strike will hit him. But I need to try. If this MI6 agent is also distracted by my taunts, it might make the difference.

12:26 AgentJamesMason: My knee smashes against Daniel’s head, and that is satisfying. Even better I can feel the pressure I’m applying on his right wrist finally forces him to let go of the blade. Quickly, I let go of his right wrist with my left hand to grab the blade as he dropped it. Then, I freeze for a moment as once more Daniel speaks up, reminding me of what the Syndicate does to it’s prisoners. I waste a precious moment battling down the surge of fear for Kyle…. I can’t think about this now, c’mon Mason, don’t be distracted, stay professional, stay focused… aRGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

12:26 AgentJamesMason: Daniel is not only a highly skilled fighter, but he knows just how to get inside a man’s head. That brief distraction was enough to allow the powerful Syndicate agent to drive his left knee up into the side of my body. Normally, such a blow would not be a big deal for a man as powerful and hardened as I was, but my left side was already cut by Daniel’s blade, and I was tiring and losing blood, so the blow did a lot of damage. My body spasmed, and I felt a sick pain radiate out from my side. But, grimly, I stay focused, refusing to give up my position on top of Daniel, still maintaining my grip on his left wrist with my right arm.

12:26 AgentJamesMason: But, this was also my chance to turn the fight in my favor. I had Daniel’s blade now in my left hand. I pulled my blade up, and striking quickly, I tried to drive the small utility blade into Daniel’s right arm, up near the nerve cluster just below the shoulder.

12:26 Spy_Daniel_Allen: Wow… I wasn't expecting this much. One of the most successful MI6 agents is in front of me and… he’s hesitating, and why? Just because of a nobody detective. I put another smile on my face. Because of that distraction, I managed to hit his side, especially that injured area. Perfect. But this guy has a will of steel. He manages to still stay focused, and grabs my knife. Oh, using my own weapon against me? Daniel Allen? Poor Mason…

12:26 Spy_Daniel_Allen: My left wrist is still blocked by Mason, but this time, I start squeezing his wrist. He is wounded, he can't go on like this too much Daniel… Just be a little more patient. As Mason tries to stab me towards my nerve cluster, I raise my right hand and stop his strike with it from his wrist. Clenching my fist, I try to push his arm and especially the knife away with my flexed muscles, with the back of my hand in a way. This fight slowly turns into a strength battle.

12:26 Spy_Daniel_Allen: But seems like provoking him is also working. Why don't I push my limits? I grunt again, in a much more annoying and playful tone, still trying to squeeze his right wrist with my left hand and trying to push his left arm with my right arm. "Accept it or not Mason… The Kyle you met is gone… And he will never come back…" After I finish my sentence, I drive my same knee towards his body once again, applying the same technique, attempting to tire him more…

12:26 AgentJamesMason: Fast and skilled, Daniel manages to intercept my knife thrust with his right hand, the back of his hand and wrist crossed with mine, his powerful muscles resisting my attempt to drive his own blade into his shoulder with great strength. Daniel is a very strong man, even though he isn’t as heavily muscled as I am. I grunt, sweat soaking my t-shirt, the exertion is enormous. My three wounds are still bleeding, weakening me bit by bit. But I will not quit, I can’t. There is too much at stake. Then, I gasp. He manages to twist his left hand as I’m trying to keep it pinned against his chest, and grabs my wrist. We are both grabbing each other’s wrists now.

12:26 AgentJamesMason: His left hand crushes into my right wrist, and the grip strength of my right wrist, weakened by the cut to my forearm, begins to falter. Daniel is doing it… he’s forcing me to release my grip on his left wrist, and instead, he is the one now gripping my wrist. I fight fiercely to keep my grip, but it’s no use. With his fingers crushing my wrist, I just don’t have the strength to win. Then, he taunts me again.

12:26 AgentJamesMason: I hear his words, and the fear and rage start to boil inside me, because I’m so afraid he is right, but with a huge effort of will, I push my emotions aside and I refuse to listen, I won’t fall for the same trap again. Instead, I bash my head forward and down, getting a look into his eyes, to strike his undefended face with a brutal headbutt. I realize for a brief instant how stunningly handsome this ruthless Syndicate agent is. At the same time I bring my head down for the strike, I pour every remaining ounce of muscle into my left arm, fighting to out muscle Daniel. My left arm flexes, and ripples with hard, combat-forged muscle, driving into my grip. I time this incredible surge of strength just as my headbutt is meant to connect with Daniel’s face. It was then that once again, Daniel’s knee smashes into my side. Savage, brutal pain lances through my thickly muscled body at the impact of his knee on my wound for a second time. The pain is even worse this time, making me gasp. All three of these things happen at the same time, my headbutt to Daniel’s face, my surge of strength to attempt to overpower Daniel’s right arm and sink the knife into his shoulder, hopefully aided by the distraction of my headbutt in that attempt, and Daniel’s knee into the wound on my left side.

12:26 Spy_Daniel_Allen: Yeah… His right hand finally weakens. That's it Mason, give into your weakness. You need to rest after all, right? But suddenly, he looks at me. Wow… He is so handsome, I wish he was just an ordinary cop. It would be much easier that way. Breaking him and taking advantage of him… But suddenly, he charges his head towards my face while increasing the pressure on my right arm, and AHHHH…

12:26 Spy_Daniel_Allen: I yell… Yell in agony… Fuck my nose… I can feel it start to bleed. Shit, he almost broke it. If he hadn’t been injured, he could have broken my nose very easily. Ugh… But it's not over, then another sharp pain… FUCKKK… The knife, I was still holding his wrist, but because of the distraction from his headbutt, he grazed my arm's inner skin deep. At least the cut will not prevent me from using that arm. Still, I managed to hurt him with my second knee strike again.

12:26 Spy_Daniel_Allen: I was getting angrier. Fuck you Mason… What does it take to bring you down… I AM NOT LEAVING WITHOUT YOU… I shiver just a bit because of the anger inside me. Gritting my teeth, I suddenly smash my right fist into his left hand, trying to hurt him more and force him to drop the knife as well. He already cut my arm, so my right hand was free.

12:26 Spy_Daniel_Allen: But it was not over. I was not done. You are GOING DOWN Mason. I manage to hide my feelings usually, but this guy is slowly driving me crazy. And believe me, you don’t want to see me crazy. With that anger, I pull my left hand towards me to free my left arm violently. If I am successful, I will punch his wounded back, his injury. And taking another deep breath, I raise my knee one more time at the same time, trying to hurt him by striking his wounded left side for the third time. You are done Mason, and you are about to learn who you are dealing with right now…

12:26 AgentJamesMason: As my muscle spasms from that blow to my side, my mind is filled with fiery pain. I take a deep breath, realizing that my Daniel’s nose is bleeding heavily and his little utility knife cut the outside of his shoulder during my last attack. He bashes at my left hand, holding his utility knife, but my grip is firm, and grimly, I lift it up, body shaking, preparing to drive it down again, for another strike at his arm. Suddenly, Daniel wrenches his left arm free with ease, since my grip was broken by his skillful reversal. Before I can plunge the knife down, his left fist comes down in a hammer blow across my blood-soaked back, right over the knife wound from Ivan. Every muscle in my body starts to spasm as pain smashes into my brain.

12:26 AgentJamesMason: I’m slowing down…. Losing too much blood… not thinking clearly. Got to move faster. But then, that knee, for a fourth time crunches into my cut left side, and with a jerk of agony, my entire body spasms again, and I roll off over Daniel's head, instinctively needing to get away. I’m starting to shake from the pain. I hit the wall, and gasp, trembling. I’m not in very good shape. But that doesn’t matter. All that matters is winning this fight. I try to get up, and my back spasms savagely, and I fall down to my hands and knees. Gasping, I struggle up again, this time mastering the spasms of pain to get up to my feet, gritting my teeth against the outrageous pain, but I still have Daniel’s knife in my left hand.

12:26 AgentJamesMason: And he’s no longer 100% either. I bashed his head twice, with powerful blows, and sliced his right shoulder. I stand there, shaking, but forcing myself into a guard, Daniel’s blade in my left hand held out, low, deadly and ready, my right arm, aching from the slice on my forearm held up in a guard position. My left side is soaked with large amounts of blood, first from a vicious cut to my side, then three knee strikes to the wound have widened it, and done a lot of damage. And I can feel blood start to soak down into my trousers now, the stitches on my back wound ripped completely open. And my jaw is aching from earlier when Daniel smashed his fist into my jaw. But I’m not done yet, grimly, my determination and will to fight remain as hard as steel. Kyle, I’m coming. Hold on Kyle… Stay strong.

12:26 Spy_Daniel_Allen: Just before Mason can attempt to stab me once again, I manage to hit the wound on his back, and finally he lets me go, rolling backwards to get away from me. And I take a deep breath. I really can't believe this guy's strength, I knew he was good, but this is too much. If he were fully recovered, he would have probably gotten me. But realities are more important than possibilities. And right now, Mason's reality is being defeated. Grunting and rubbing my nose, I manage to get up to my feet, quicker than Mason since he is already very hurt, and can't concentrate properly. I can feel my head spinning a little bit, and I have a headache now because of that knee strike and headbutt from this Agent…

12:26 Spy_Daniel_Allen: I look at Mason as he gets up on his feet finally. But he is holding my knife in his hand, fuck… And I can tell by the way he is holding the knife that he knows how to use it properly. No Daniel, don't rush anything. One little mistake, and he can stab you again. Ugh, my arm is still bleeding, but not too harshly. I ignore both the blood on my face and my arm. Try to distract him and gain some time Daniel. The more time passes, the better for you and worse for him. He can't go on like this for too much longer. Eradicating any chance of Mason's victory means I will beat him eventually.

12:26 Spy_Daniel_Allen: I smile at James. Yeah, I am smiling at him, gaining my confidence again. Then all of a sudden, I reach down to my own smoke grenade, and without hesitation, I throw it directly at Mason's left hand, hoping that maybe the grenade will also force him to drop the knife. Yeah… We won't be able to see each other for some time again, which is better for me. He will drain his energy every second while I manage to get myself together. Then another idea comes to my mind. If I can trick him, I can put him into sleep completely with my chloroform.

12:26 Spy_Daniel_Allen: But his back is against the wall, I can't approach behind him. Hmm… I know what to do. I press the button on my belt as well just like my first guard did at the beginning. And all of a sudden, there are 3 separate noises coming from 3 different locations. Yeah, right now. He can't hear where I will come from, he might see me if I come very close, but I don't think he can react in time. He won't know if I changed my position or not. Still, in order to get myself prepared for a guaranteed victory, I take a couple of huge but silent steps back from Mason, and start soaking the handkerchief with chloroform. While taking some steps back, trying to feel the other side of the wall of the corridor, I find a corner. Yeah… If Mason comes past this corner in order to find me, I can jump on him, and put him in sleep. So I take my cover and wait.

12:26 AgentJamesMason: Daniel is standing in front of me, and then he starts to smile. My eyes narrow, and as my chest heaves for air, I slowly start to stalk him with his own knife. It’s not large, but it is more than he has. I’m fighting a constant battle against pain, fatigue, and increasingly, blood loss. It’s a tight situation, but I’ve been in worse. I can do this. Every step, every movement is becoming increasingly a battle of will. Then, as he smiles at me, a confident, mocking smile, he throws a smoke grenade directly towards my left hand. I’m slow, tired, hurt, unable to react fast enough to dodge the projectile. I gasp as the knife is knocked out of my hand, skittering far behind me. Then suddenly the hall is filled once again with thick, blinding vapour. I can’t see him anymore. I brace for an attack, but instead I suddenly hear three loud sirens echoing through the hall.

12:26 AgentJamesMason: The noise is loud, and deafening. Think Mason think… he’s trying to hide his movements, trying to set a trap for me. I concentrate, and move towards the nearest siren sound. As I get closer, taking quiet steps, the siren gets louder and louder, and then, there it is in front of me, the body of one of the guards, the one I shot twice. He is unconscious due to blood loss. Quickly, gritting my teeth against the pain in my back and side from the motion, I squat, and grab his pistol, but the clip is empty. FUCK. I try to envision the hall floor, trying to remember where my glock and Daniel’s pistol landed when they were knocked from our grasp in the fight. But for once, my highly-trained sense of situational awareness failed me. I had been so focused on Daniel that I had not noted the spot where they had fallen. I search the guard once more quickly, and grab the guards combat knife from his belt.

12:26 AgentJamesMason: Then, holding the knife in my left hand, I stand and turn, moving away from the unconscious guard. After a few steps, I turn, my ear picking up the second siren sound, it’s not far, and it must be Daniel. The third siren is further down the hall, near the top of the stairs where I killed the first guard. Therefore, this other siren MUST be Daniel. I take a silent breath, lift my left hand, and take a moment to concentrate through my body’s fatigue and great pain, then throw the knife expertly, the blade flipping end over end, headed directly towards the source of that second siren, the one that MUST be Daniel. Please… let it hit… let it hurt him badly… for Kyle’s sake.. I’m coming Kyle… I’m coming for you.

12:26 Spy_Daniel_Allen: Yeah… I hear some footsteps. Examining the room. He can't hide himself like me, he is tired. However, all of a sudden a sharp knife directly hits the wall that I taken cover next to, very close to my injured right arm. I gasp and cough from excitement. Fuck my life… This guy is a genius. But it did not hit you Daniel after all, so think. Think quick... Hmm I know...

12:26 Spy_Daniel_Allen: All of a sudden, I start moaning in pain hard and removing my belt at the same time. Yeah, your genius mind detected the sound of my warning siren, right Mason? Then continue to follow the sound of it. First, I give a huge and hard sigh, trying to imply that I am trying not to make any noise at first. I am trying to prevent Mason from suspecting anything. I started moaning a little bit after the knife hits, so he won’t think I am planning something. Then, I drop the belt on the ground while still continuing to moan, adding the occasional yell. Afterwards, I take a couple of steps back, smaller ones, grabbing that combat knife from the wall. Once he turns around the corner in order to find the belt, he will be surprised.

12:26 Spy_Daniel_Allen: And I was already close to the belt already, so I don't think he can detect that my voice is not right next to the siren coming from the belt. And even if he does, he may think that I crawled away in order to escape. And once he turns the corner and starts looking at the belt,he will lower his gaze. I will jump on him. I am ready now. That combat knife is in my left hand, and my chloroform soaked handkerchief is in my right one. Once I managed to restrain him, I could put my handkerchief on his mouth and nose since he was already tired.

12:26 AgentJamesMason: I hear a loud yell, a scream of agony, followed by a muffled sigh, as though he were trying to stay silent, but then followed by more soft moans. I feel an overwhelming sense of relief. YES. My knife hit it’s target, he’s hurt, hurt so badly he can’t stay silent. I have him now. And now, it was time to finish this. I felt a wave of dizziness wash over me, and pain from all my wounds slammed into my brain, but like the true professional I was, I pushed it aside, drawing deeper on my will, my determination, my resolve. Kyle.. I’m coming. I slid forward, bumping into the wall, each step aggravating the wound in my back and side, then I slid along the wall, following the sound of the belt. I turn the corner quickly, my eyes darting down, only a few feet from the sound, but instead of Daniel… I see only his belt. My guts clench with fear. FUCK. How good… how good is this Syndicate Agent? He was no ordinary Syndicate hitman… no… I tensed myself, starting to raise my gaze, starting to clench my fists, trying to get my guard up.

12:26 Spy_Daniel_Allen: Yeah… There you are Mason… I can see your manly features, as you lower your head. This is the time. Without hesitation, I jump on Mason and grab him by his waist, slamming him to the ground on his back. I manage to land on top of him this time, I quickly raise up on my knees while sitting on his chest, driving my knees upwards toward the sides of his head in order to make him more vulnerable. This should paralyze him enough along with the pain from his wounded back. Then, I drove my left hand towards his throat to prevent him from struggling, the blade of my knife touching his skin, as a deadly threat. I smile broadly, and cover his mouth with my handkerchief. Now, go to sleep Mason… You earned a rest…

12:26 AgentJamesMason: But even as I was fighting to get my guard up, suddenly, Daniel’s heavy, well-muscled, powerful body leaps on me out of the obscuring vapour. Caught off guard, I am violently slammed to the carpet beneath him. I scream in pain as the blow aggravates my wounds, a spasm of agony ripples through my muscles, and I am temporarily paralyzed by the pain. I can’t stop Daniel as he mounts me, pinning my head between his knees, sitting on my chest. Then, his left hand, holding the heavy combat knife I had thought to injure him with is suddenly pushed against my throat. He’s going to kill me… this is it… my long successful career, all my hard work to keep the world safe from the Syndicate, ends now. Oh Kyle… But suddenly, a handkerchief with a sickly sweet smell is thrust against my mouth. I instantly recognize the scent. NOOO noooo… I close my mouth, and hold my breath, but I can’t hold it long.. I’m too hurt… too injured… and I breathe in… as darkness closes over me, a brief memory lingering, the memory of me and Kyle making love in his flat.. Then there is nothing.

12:26 Spy_Daniel_Allen: Yeah… Finally… His eyes are closing slowly. Nice job Mason… And if I have to be honest, you were the hardest opponent I have yet faced. And I was lucky that you were injured. But what can I say? You became a victim of your own love… Pathetic… Sometimes, you need to learn how to let go… And this is the price of not letting go of Byrne… Finally, he drops unconscious. He doesn't move, and he is broken, shaken…

12:26 Spy_Daniel_Allen: I take a deep long breath… You tough fucker… But you are down now… I slowly get off Mason while examining his body. A mixture of sweat and blood covers his skin. But still, he is so fucking handsome. I inhale and exhale deep again, then roll Mason over with my foot, he’s lying on his stomach now. Then I cuff his hands from behind, and rope his arms and body completely. He can only walk now. Rubbing my face one more time, I reach for my radio and send a message to Syndicate, which will directly inform both Derek Steel and Ivan Usov.

12:26 Spy_Daniel_Allen: "Mason is down… I repeat… Mason is down… I am bringing him home…" my tone was tired and shaking a little bit. But that doesn't matter. A win's a win. Then slowly, I put one of my arms under his knees, the other one goes behind his back, and I start rising to my feet. Ufff… Heavy guy… But I have come this far. I won't let him go. Slowly, I start walking towards stairs.

12:26 Spy_Daniel_Allen: Then I lay my eyes on my two fellow agents while heading towards the stairs. One of them is unconscious, the other one is dead. You are a really tough fucker, aren't you Mason? I will inform the other Syndicate agents in the car while Mason is sleeping in the back side of the van to take care of them. Alright Mason… We are going home…

12:26 AgentDerekSteel: I listen to the brief voice message in utter amazement. James Mason… one of the toughest, most capable, bastards I have ever known to come out of the SAS and MI6. Defeated? Taken down by a … who is this guy… I pull up his records, Daniel Allen.. Hmmmmm… I’d vaguely heard of him, but he worked for the Syndicate directly, he wasn’t one of my mercenaries, not like Usov. I wonder if he’d come work directly for me? The Syndicate wouldn’t be happy if I poached one of their star agents, but I didn’t give a fuck. A man who has taken out that bastard Mason is a man I want in my mercenary company. I could offer the Syndicate something they wanted in exchange.. Yeah, that’s what I’ll do. A man like Daniel was worth a lot.

12:26 Commando_Ivan_Usov: When I finished listening to the voice message, I sat back, surprised and amazed. FUCK ME!! He did it… that tough fucker Daniel Allen actually captured Mason. I never thought he had it in him. I growled a bit at that. It didn’t exactly make me look good, did it? But, at the end of the day all that mattered was Mason was down. And when I told Kyle about that… I started to laugh with sadistic pleasure.
