A universe for superheroes and supervillians to battle it out!
10:35 The_Russian_Hammer: Suddenly, fast asleep, my eyes snap open. Alarms are blaring, signalling an intruder. I spring up out of my bed, take a brief moment to pull on my battle gear, my heavy reinforced combat boots, my thick, carbon fibre black fatigues, a utility belt at my waist full of tools, and a muscle-hugging black carbon-fibre top that showed every bulge and curve of my power packed, muscular physique. The trademark of the Red Fist, a Soviet Era Red Star, was emblazoned on the chest of my battle top.
10:35 The_Russian_Hammer: This was a critical time for the Red Fist. The Red Fist, an organization formed of discontented die-hards refusing to accept the collapse of the USSR, contained in their ranks generals, scientists, soldiers, engineers. And me. Dmitri Romanov, head of security for the Red Fist. A former Spetsnaz, an elite Soviet Commando, trained as a brutal hand to hand fighter, weapons expert, torturer, infiltration specialist.
10:35 The_Russian_Hammer: Yes, this was a critical time indeed. Our scientists were on the verge of a major breakthrough. For years, they had been working on a serum, a formula capable of modifying the DNA of an ordinary man to greatly enhance his strength, speed, agility, endurance, and healing factor. In essence, to turn a man into a weapon of war, a super soldier to counter the likes of Captain Canada and others.
10:35 The_Russian_Hammer: I’m not entirely surprised at this attack. There had been hints that the Western powers had learned of our attempts. This was confirmation. Still, we had some surprises. All of our remaining forces, our most elite troops and weaponry were concentrated here, at this lab, to defend it’s vital research. Not even Captain Canada will find us easy pickings. I stride out of my chambers, heading towards the sounds of battle at the perimeter of the base, using my watch to issue instructions for organizing the defence as I went.
10:35 Captain_Canada: It took S.H.I.E.L.D.S years to finally crack the code, but as soon as they did, the Red Fist is done. At least to the minds of the higher ups in the organization of S.H.I.E.L.D.S. Different agents were sent to destroy their facilities in a coordinated effort in wiping out the Red Fist altogether. Within 24 hours, most of their bases were destroyed, leaving the last one in the middle of Siberia, the very same one I am penetrating right now.
10:35 Captain_Canada: I would be lying if I say this is easy. The Red Fist is well-armed and fanatical. But, I am the last piece of the puzzle in dismantling this ghost of the Soviet era super soldier weapon. As a product of the super soldier program myself, I know how dangerous we can be. I have the strength of at least five olympic level athletes at my disposal; the reflexes of the most legendary gymnast ever lived, muscles and bones with the density and toughness to withstand most bullets and explosives; and a heightened sense of awareness. In other words, I am the perfect weapon in taking this lab down.
10:35 Captain_Canada: I easily dispatch the guards, tossing one against another. Dodging their shotgun shots aiming directly at my head, snatching it and hitting these idiots right in their skull with the blunt end. I can hear something cracking. God, I hate guns.
10:35 Captain_Canada: I easily dispatched the guards guarding the entrance of this lab and sprinted into the laboratory itself. I was in awe of all these fine specimens, trapped inside these test tubes, not unlike what they’ve done to me. The thought of it makes me sick though, knowing this is what had happened to me while I was in deep sleep, being enhanced to be the next super soldier in the likes of Steve Rogers.
10:35 Captain_Canada: There is no one inside. Fuck. Where did they all go? They must all have escaped somewhere while I was dealing with the guards. I look around to see if I can find a secret passage somewhere. I didn’t spot anyone leaving the main or back entrance while I was outside, so there must be some kind of secret passage here, somewhere…
10:35 The_Russian_Hammer: As I race along the corridor, I get updates from my squad leaders and the defence systems. We are under attack by Captain Canada, and there is no response from the gate guards. I growl in frustration, how did he manage to take them out so quickly? I check the security feed, and just as I suspected, the Captain has entered the outer laboratory, where we store the bodies of the various soldiers who gave their lives to help develop this serum, even now the failed subjects were subjected to constant analysis to learn what went wrong. Regrettable, but necessary. Now, it was my job, and the job of my men to ensure that they did not give their lives needlessly.
10:35 The_Russian_Hammer: As soon as the sirens had sounded, the automated defenses would have triggered, and the entire rear of the lab would have been sealed, a solid steel blast door would have dropped into place, looking exactly as though it were the rear wall of the room. It was time to teach Captain Canada a lesson he would never forget! I had two teams of elite Red Fist Assassins, each team was composed of my best men. I deployed one team on each side of the lab, to flank the heroic Captain as he searched, trying to find an exit, not realized that the entire rear wall was a blast door. Bullets or explosives were not going to work here, his uniform was armoured against them, even a grenade at close range would likely only stun the hero. But, his senses were reported to be enhanced as well, his sight and sound far outstripping a normal man’s. But that also meant they would be more susceptible to being overloaded? It was only a theory, but it was worth a shot. At my order, two cabinets on the opposite sides of the lab suddenly blasted inwards, revealing two entrances. My squads charged through, brave men, and then each one through a grenade towards the Captain. My team was wearing goggles to block the light, and inserts in their ears to absorb the sound. The grenades both exploded, releasing a shockwave of intense light and extreme sound, enough to stun a normal man. I was hoping that with the Captain’s enhanced senses, he was even more susceptible to a flash-bang. We were about to find out!
10:35 Captain_Canada: I kept looking for an exit, some kind of secret passage. Checking the wall and floor construction, even the ceiling assembly but they’re all solid. Nothing… Could this be a bust? Well, the mission just got interesting. I reach up and press on my earpiece to report back to S.H.I.E.L.D.S., but it’s filled with static noises. Great, just what I need, signal interference. I reach down to my utility belt, where I can in theory adjust the frequency. I had to keep doing that while I made my way to Siberia. There were tons of ex Soviet satellite radio waves around the area that I had to fine tune it every 20 minutes or so to get the right frequency back to the HQ. I just have to do it again.
10:35 Captain_Canada: Just as I started tuning my earpiece, I started to hear some noise. Chatters. I look up, when all of a sudden, the walls blasted open. Fuck, it was right there the whole time. The cabinets to the sides are indeed doors, and I start to sprint when the explosion hit, seemingly right underneath my feet. I crouched down, took cover and flex, focusing on turning the muscles on my body into literally armour. It’s not something I can do all the time, and I can’t make it last for more than a few seconds either, as it consumes a lot of my mental and physical power. It's a byproduct of the super soldier serum, making my skin as strong as durable as steel. But this has managed to save life on numerous occasions, having been shot at by anything imaginable being in this line of work. I was bracing for an impact. An impact that never came. There was no explosion or anything. I waited for a couple of seconds and I start to relax from my current state, eager to see who the fuck ambushed me.
10:35 Captain_Canada: Just as I start to relax, my ear starts to ring, it’s fucking unbearable. Put my hands to cover my ears, try to open my eyes but fuck, all I can see is bright lights. I’ve been temporarily blinded.
10:35 Lieutenant_Boris_Smirnov: My goggles de-polarize as soon as the light fades, and the noise-cancelling affect of my ear inserts cut out, and I ran forward, screaming in Russian, “CHARGE!” I reached down to my belt and pulled out my pistol. I held it professionally, competently. I sneered, looking at the mighty Captain Canada, his muscles bulging powerfully as he knelt on the ground, covering his ears and blinking his eyes. Dmitri’s plan had worked to perfection!!! This was going to be easy. The other team on the opposite side held back, per orders, to provide cover for us as I charged forward. I leveled my pistol right at his head, and pulled the trigger, expecting to paint the floor with his brains. I looked on in shock as the bullet smashed into his skull, savagely knocking his head to the side, but not penetrating the bone, instead leaving a brutal flesh wound. FUCK! How were we supposed to kill him?
10:35 The_Russian_Hammer: I wasn’t surprised when Boris fired his pistol, but failed to kill Captain Canada. It was valuable data. The super soldier process had apparently increased the strength and resilience of the body and bone structure to provide a measure of protection against even bullets. Still, it had wounded the hero. But it wasn’t going to be effective. I shouted over my com link as I kept running towards the outer lab, “Use your taser, Boris! Set it on it’s highest voltage and current, the kill setting, and fry that American bastard! It might at least knock him out, then we can figure out how to kill him! A bullet to the eye perhaps!”
10:35 Captain_Canada: I can’t believe I fell for the oldest trick in the books. Still blinded by the flash grenade, I can hear someone pulling the trigger. Fuck, I was too late to react, when I feel a crushing impact on the side of my skull, my head snapping to the side, and I collapse onto the floor. I still can’t see, and the noises, the chatters, the frequencies from all around me is overwhelming my senses. My eyes blinking rapidly, and sweats start to pour down on my hardened skin, blood dripping on the side of my head, when I feel waves and waves of electric current jolting up my body. I can’t help but to scream, as my body tenses up and crunches tight.
10:35 Captain_Canada: I can smell my flesh cooking as smoke emerges from my skin. My suit is starting to rip. My entire body bridges up tensing as I try to fight his voltage. I have been in these situations before, and I know I can handle this once more. I just need to concentrate and focus. Gritting my teeth as I hold back the urge to scream. Shutting my eyes, taking the pain. It works, soon I am able to see a couple of silhouettes in front of me as I open my eyes, and I get my foot up and thrust it hard toward the man’s core, sending him crashing into the wall 20 feet away. I quickly roll and elbow the other guy on his stomach, getting up and kick him away too. My vision starts to clear, as I blink and catch my breath. Seeing about 6 or 7 men in front of me.
10:35 Captain_Canada: “Way to have a fair fight, boys…” I say as I wipe the sweat off my forehead, about to take these men down and finish my mission once and for all.
10:35 Lieutenant_Boris_Smirnov: I whip out my stun gun from my utility belt, as Dmitri shouts orders in my ears. I scream out, “Alexei! Advance, I need help!” Lieutenant Alexei Lebedev charges forward with his three troopers supporting him, they each whip out their pistols, looking to unload into the superhero, hoping for a shot to the eye or some more sensitive area, but they are still about 20 feet away as I turn mine up to the “lethal” setting, and JAM it against the thickly muscled neck of the Canadian superhero. Desperately pleading to whatever gods are listening that this works. He screams in a satisfying manner, and the savage current starts to cook the flesh on the side of his well muscled neck, but the fucking bastad refused to die!! Just as Alexei and two of his men come up, starting to take aim, Captain Canada cuts off his scream and seems to focus! NOOOooo.. Desperate, the charge running out on my stun gun! Then, I look in shock as his boot snaps up and kicks away one of Alexei’s troopers sending the man hurtling back about twenty feet to CRUNCH like a bug against the far wall. He fell, slumped, and did not get up.
10:35 Lieutenant_Alexei_Lebedev: I watch in shock as one of my loyal troopers is kicked aside like trash. I’m trailing behind them, and Smirnov’s men are moving behind to support me, but even as I fire the bullet slamming into Captain Canada’s abs, his armoured uniform easily deals with the bullet. I fought hard to focus, as I took in the sheer musculature of the Canadian hero, and took note of the small tears in the hero’s uniform, which must have happened from when his muscles flexed involuntarily from the shock. Then, the Canadian superhero rolls suddenly, and Smirnov drops his now worthless stun gun. I try to shout a warning to my other trooper, but Captain Canada is on him before I start to make a sound, elbowing him in his stomach, and kicking him like trash into the wall. He also slumps, collapses, and does not move. Desperately considering our options as the hero wipes sweat off his face, and makes a snide comment.
10:35 The_Russian_Hammer: Not far now, about three minutes away, watching the fight unfold on my small watch viewer. I rack my brain desperately for another angle of attack. Chemical? I shout out an order, “Smirnov!! On the shelf behind you, you will find several flasks of concentrated hydrochloric acid. Douse him in it! Lebedev, keep Captain Canada focused on you and the remaining troopers while Smirnov retrieves the acid.
10:35 Lieutenant_Alexei_Lebedev: I gulped… well, I always knew I would die in battle. I let out a cry, motioning my men forward, then fired my pistol right at Captain Canada’s face, but he dodged easily. I holstered my pistol, and took out my knife. It was desperate, foolish, but I had to keep him occupied long enough! The other five troopers all charge forward as I barked out quick orders over my comm unit. One trooper each made a dive for Captain Canada’s legs, one trooper each bravely charged forward, attempting to grab the superhero’s arms. And the final one drove himself in a flying leap right for Captain Canada’s abs! Would it be enough?
10:35 Lieutenant_Boris_Smirnov: I drop my discharged stun gun, turn and leap with all the speed I can muster towards the shelf that Dmitri had indicated, I grabbed the heavy flask, full of powerful, concentrated hydrochloric acid and darted back towards the battle, just as all five troopers made their foolish, brave, concentrated charge towards Captain Canada!
10:35 Captain_Canada: As I got up, standing there, preparing myself for the fierce battle ahead, these men seemingly came charging at the same damn time. One of them was welding a knife, the other with their fists. But Captain Canada is no ordinary captain. I was, until they turned me into the super soldier that I am today. I have spent most of my life with the Canadian forces, RCMP, doing good for my country, receiving countless honours and accolades, before I was “chosen” to be the one to go through the experimental program. It does help that my body was found to be one of the most receptive to the serum. But what I am trying to say is that I’ve paid my dues. So when these men come charging in, I, with my superhuman strength and reflexes, together with countless hours of combat training, easily dodged, parried and block their attempts. I have to take a few hits along the way, but the damage was minimal.
10:35 Captain_Canada: As my elbow smashed into this guy’s ribs, I lifted my right leg and thrust it hard into the other guy’s abdominal. Then, grabbing the third guy by the back of his neck, I flex and smash his head right against his commrade’s skull, bashing the two of them together, before I toss the both of them to the wall nearby. Before I have a chance to catch my breath, I can see through the corner of my eyes that this soldier has his knife up, as he has it lifted up high, directing it towards my face, but I twist my body to the side, dodging his knife. Before he could slash again, I grabbed his wrist with lightning quickless, twisting it, using his own forward momentum to toss him directly toward the guy by the flasks, sending both of them crashing to the floor.
10:35 Captain_Canada: And just like that, I have dispatched the last of the Red Fists. They are not getting up from this, trying to ambush a man so much stronger, faster and more powerful than they can ever imagine. I take this time to catch my breath and wipe off the sweat off my forehead. They’ve made me work, I will give them that. Now, it’s time to report back to S.H.I.E.L.D.S., as I reach down to adjust the frequency again, doing what I was trying to do before I was so rudely interrupted by these men.
10:35 Lieutenant_Alexei_Lebedev: I watched in sick fascination as Captain Canada dispatched my men with a speed, strength and skill that was truly stunning. Before I can count to ten, there is nothing left of the five troopers except a scattered pile of lifeless men. Bravely, I charged in after, lifting my knife high, trying to catch the hero off guard by coming into his side, looking to drive that blade into his eyes if I can. Suddenly, faster than my brain can register, I see a blur, and feel a grip as hard as steel on my wrist, and I’m tumbling head over heels, towards Boris!
10:35 Lieutenant_Boris_Smirnov: I’m running towards Captain Canada incredulously as he dispatches some of our toughest troopers as if they were raw recruits. Then, suddenly, Alexei is hurtling towards me. He slams into me at a high velocity, and the flask of acid shoots up into the air, before plummeting back towards me. I’m stunned, Alexei hit me hard, and I think my ribs are broken. Alexei’s neck is twisted at a funny angle, broken I realize, he hit the floor hard. I’m in a daze, but something in me fights hard to keep me focused, and I reach out my hand and catch the flask of acid. Dmitri is screaming in my ear, begging me to get up, that I’m the only one left. Encouraging me with threats and praise. I know my duty. I shove Alexei’s lifeless body off of me, and stand up, fighting not to hiss with pain as blood dribbles out of my mouth, my ribs broken from the force of the impact. Grimly, I unstopper the flask. My hand shaking, I fire my pistol directly between Captain Canada’s shoulder blades to make him turn. He seems to be focused on fiddling with some device on his belt. As he turns, I shout, “A present for you Captain Canada, a present from the Red Fist!” And I splash the highly concentrated hydrochloric acid directly at him. Most of it splashes on the front of his uniform, but some splashes into his face as well.
10:35 Captain_Canada: As I am fiddling with the reception device on my utility belt, I hear a shot being fired. The bullet hit directly between my shoulder. Do these guys learn, I turn around to finish this guy off, when suddenly, acid was being splashed onto my suit, some splashing up onto my face. What the fuck, I stagger back, part of my suits searing, burning. My eyes burn, FUCK! I shake my head and try wiping them off my body with my gloved hands, A good part of my suits have been burnt away. This guy looks up and the first thing he notices is that I don’t look too pleased. “You shouldn’t have done that!” I say, rage in my eyes and literally smoke coming out from my tattered suited body. I rush over at him at full speed. Like a mad bull, looking to take him out with a tackle with full speed and power behind it.
10:35 The_Russian_Hammer: I watch the destruction of my team of elite troopers with a growing sense of rage. I was nearly there, nearly there. Scattered reports were coming in over my comm device that contact had been lost with almost every other Red Fist base. But, I didn’t have time to think about that right now. I had been issued an experimental weapon, called a ‘Thunderstrike’. It released a concentrated pulse of sonic energy that was calibrated to detonate with the force of a frag grenade on impact with any solid surface. But, unlike a grenade it could be used over and over. And unlike a bullet, it should have enough force to blast even Captain Canada around. I wasn’t sure it could kill him, but I would find out. Nearly there… nearly there. I looked up from my watch, and turned to see Captain Canada, the front of his uniform smoking from acid burns, but his skin relatively unaffected, just slightly reddened, through the hidden side entrance.
10:35 The_Russian_Hammer: I catch sight of him just as he starts to sprint for the helpless for of my crippled Lieutenant Boris! I snarl, “NOT TODAY CAPTAIN CANADA!” And fire the Thunderstrike with my precise marksmanship, able even as a mere mortal, to hit a moving target as fast as Captain Canada. The sonic pulse ripples through the air, then impacts him directly in his left side, in the ribs. There is a thunderous detonation that hurls the powerful, muscled Canadian hero off to the side, and knocks down Boris. I charge the rest of the way through the hidden entrance. Boris is groaning, moving, then I turn to Captain Canada, leveling my weapon, about to see if it was able to kill the Canadian hero.
10:35 Captain_Canada: As I sprint towards the coward that threw acid right in my face, I feel something rippling in the air, I turn my head to take a peek, when I get hit right in the ribs, my near 200 lbs. frame gets blasted off track, sending me crashing into the far wall to the side, making a huge Captain Canada sized dent before I collapse onto the floor. Shockwaves of pain shooting up my spine. I am incapaciated, my muscles screaming in pain, FUCK! What the fuck was that. I try to lift my head to see what I’ve been hit with, and see that something has nearly blasted through my left side, my body working hard to regenerate, to heal, and it hurts like motherfucker right now.
10:35 Captain_Canada: Sweat pouring down, I lift my head up to see a hulking figure approaching. Move, fucker, move, I tell myself as I struggle to lift myself to my elbows, I manage to crab crawl back until my back rests against that dented wall. My hand moving over to my left side, with blood starting to gush down that nasty wound. Fuck, who the hell is this? “I thought I have finished you all…” I say as I try to sit up, knowing my body is slowly healing myself, I just need to buy myself some time.
10:35 The_Russian_Hammer: I stride towards you, the weapon most effective. Seeing the mighty Captain Canada thrown across a room is normally not something a man like me would ever get to see. I was enraged at the sight of my men, many of them dead, scattering the lab. I would make him pay, and pay dearly. I snarled, “You missed one, Captain Canada! A fatal mistake.” I’m still not sure if the blast from my thunderstrike can kill the hero, it did indeed hurt him, but so did the bullet. But maybe there was another way. I look up at the ceiling, heavy slabs of reinforced concrete. Tons of it. I smiled, eyed the main support, judged how much of the roof was likely to be affected, deemed the risk acceptable. The death of Captain Canada would be a fair trade for any damage. Then, I suddenly raised my Thunderstrike at the ceiling, and fired. Suddenly, there was an eruption against the ceiling, followed shortly by a rending sound, as tons of slabs of concrete suddenly dropped from the damaged ceiling, a huge slab SQUASHING Captain Canada like a bug, only his head and arms sticking out!! Then, several more layers of rubble fell, sending out a huge dust cloud. I walked forward, emerging from the clouds of dust, taking out my knife and kneeling in front of the trapped Super hero.
10:35 The_Russian_Hammer: I snarl, taking my knife and grabbing the hair on the back of Captain Canada’s head, making him look into my face. “I think it is only fair for you to know the name of the man who is going to kill you, Captain Canada. My name is Commander Dmitri Romanov, and on behalf of the Red Fist, on behalf of my soldiers whom you killed, I am going to execute you. I think not even the mighty Captain Canada can survive a knife stuck through his eyeball!” I position my knife, getting ready to drive it home.
10:35 Captain_Canada: I just need my regeneration factor to do its job faster, and I will be back up in no time to finish the job. I am so close and I am not about to get finished off by one of Red Fist goons. The guy tells me how it’s a fatal mistake that I missed one, but in turn I tell him that, “I am not finished just yet,” with a smirk across my face. If I may be feeling any bit worried, there is no way that he can tell from the expression across my face.
10:35 Captain_Canada: My eyes never leaving that weapon this guy have in his hand. Surely, one blast to my skull and even my superhuman abilities won’t be able to save me. One more blast and I will be dead and buried in this Red Fist facility, probably will be brought to some new lair while they try to restructure. Dissected and experimented on, a fate that is far worse than death. But if my experiences of being Captain Canada have taught me anything, is that I can always find a way out of these situations. As soon as he lifts your finger, I try to dive forward, but FUCK, I have misread your intentions, and the next thing I know, nearly a quarter of the building collapses, falling directly on top of me, crushing me underneath.
10:35 Captain_Canada: The entire place is filled with dust. I am coughing, gasping. I am sure a rebar has pierced into my right ribs. I am fucking trapped under a huge slab. I can’t fucking move, but I need to. Even though I am in a world of pain right now. Literally crushed, outsmarted by this guy. I need to think, and I need to think fast. This guy re-emerged from the wreckage, kneeling down, ready to stab me in the fucking eye. I can’t let that happen. I stared into his eyes. This guy is sick. There is some sick satisfaction in his eyes as he’s about to gut my eye out, but that’s not going to happen, because I am fucking Captain Canada. I summoned what power I have left in the tank bridge up, tossing this mothefucker right off of me along with the fucking RC slab!
10:35 The_Russian_Hammer: Suddenly, my eyes widen in shock!! HOW? This Canadian hero is far stronger than I realized. With a heave of his muscle, the slab pinning him down cracks, he bridges powerfully, even the simple force of him bridging, with me standing over his shoulders and holding his head back, is enough to fling me forward. I’m flying through air, and have just enough time to take the hit with some grace, rolling through over my shoulder to fling back up to my feet, dazed. Looking at the Canadian hero, his muscles bulging as he works his way free of the rubble. The Thunderstrike was flung out of my grip, far out of the room. I speak frantically into my comm unit, “Evacuate! Order a full evacuation! NOW! I can’t stop him.” I look frantically for anything that could stop you, delay you, give my comrades a chance to escape. There is one thing… another prototype. But I need to get to it!
10:35 Captain_Canada: Throwing the RC slab and the Russian off did take its toll. I roll over and start to get up. Sweating, heaving, panting. I have had better days. I look over and see this guy, Dimitri was it? Seemingly in a panic, ordering evacuation of the whole place. Basically admitting defeat. “Well Commander,” I say, slowly making my way toward where he’s standing, “I do have to thank you for destroying half of this facility for me.” I smile, tossing the piece of RC in front of me to the side to clear the path toward you. “But as thankful as I am, I have to do my job. Tony Stark.. You know Tony right? Well he’s ordered me to destroy this base and everything in it, and I have no choice. I hope you understand,” making a fist, ready to deliver a final blow to this commander of the base.
10:35 The_Russian_Hammer: I need to survive this. I am focused on survival. I have one more trick to play. Captain Canada is coming up to me, making his noble statement about duty and obedience to Tony Stark. They would all pay, all those heroes. I needed to survive to carry out my vengeance. Where was that final prototype? I racked my brain as he made his fist to finish me. I thought carefully, assessing my position in the lab. I felt behind me, the shelf. Then I realized. It was behind me!!! WHAT luck! I reached back and grabbed what looked like a firehose, I pointed it suddenly at the center of Captain Canada’s thickly muscled chest, and pushed the stud. A laser beam, with enough power and intensity to eventually cut through steel shot out of the end of the emitter. The hose was actually a complex conduit carrying photons and collimating them with fibre optic cable into a deadly laser. The heavy beam blasted into the hero’s chest, now if I could keep it trained on him long enough, it should be able to cut through even his body like a knife through hot butter. I played the beam down the stunned super hero’s thick pecs, burning away the chest hair, ravaging and playing over his muscle, but frustrated when his muscle didn’t burn away under the beam, he is shielding against it somehow, but I can tell by his expression he can’t shield forever! Then, I move the beam down, playing it across his abs, preparing to hold it in place, when… FUCK… the power unit gave out. The prototype was never meant for prolonged use. I didn’t wait to see what Captain Canada’s reaction would be. I decided it was time for a strategic retreat. I bend over, and heave Boris over my shoulder, then run, as I screamed over my shoulder, “Some day Captain Canada, you will pay for this!!”
10:35 Captain_Canada: As I am to deliver the final blow, I noticed, all of a sudden, he whipped out something from behind. Something like a firehose, blasting right into my chest. I “flex” my body armour once more, knowing that something like that would be fatal if I don’t. I keep my body armour for as long as I can, as it starts to burn through my body. I roar trying to fight the pain, trying to push through this pain and continue to channel the particulars in my body to shield myself so I don’t get fried. Finally, it stops. It manages to push me back a few feet, leaving a trail on the ground. I can’t move. I feel drained, exhausted, paralyzed, but I can see this guy running for his life, knowing that he will never step foot in this complex again, for as long as I am still alive and around. After about a minute, I collapse onto my knee. Breathing heavily, my body working hard to regenerate. It’s only a matter of time, but as soon as I get enough strength to move, I know well that the last remains of the Red Fist will be gone. Mission will be accomplished.
10:35 The_Russian_Hammer: As I make my way out of the base, using the exit routes, I feel rage boil in me. Everything ruined. As I heard how almost every other Red Fist base was simultaneously taken down by an alliance of heroes, I felt despair start to creep into my being. NOOOOOO… Then, I received a message from the chief scientist, “Sir, we have reached the rendezvous point. And… we have the dosage of the experimental serum. We were just in time.” Then, I smile. As I exit the base, and join up with the remaining survivors of the Red Fist, I turn and watch the fires burning over the remains of the lab. And know that I WILL have my revenge.
