10:11 The_Russian_Hammer: I was on a mission of vital importance for the Red Fist as I made my way through the sewer tunnels beneath the iconic, soaring tower in the middle of Metro city that served as the HQ for the Freedom Force. I stood over 6’ tall, packing 300 pounds of savage, military-trained, super soldier enhanced muscle, I wore my battle gear, my heavy reinforced combat boots, my thick, carbon fibre black fatigues with red stripes running down the sides, a utility belt at my waist containing my trademark weapons, a hammer and a bullwhip. Covering my torso was a muscle-hugging black carbon-fibre top that showed every bulge and curve of my power packed, muscular physique. The trademark of the Red Fist, a Soviet Era Red Star, was emblazoned on the chest of my battle top.
The Red Fist, an organization formed of discontented die-hards refusing to accept the collapse of the USSR, contained in their ranks generals, scientists, soldiers, engineers. And me, Dmitri Romanov, code name, "The Russian Hammer", a former Spetsnaz, an elite Soviet Commando, trained as a brutal hand to hand fighter, weapons expert, torturer, infiltration specialist. Not just any man. When I joined the Red Fist, I had volunteered to undergo a highly experimental procedure, to take on a dose of a serum that the renegade scientists of the Red Fist had spent years perfecting. The serum rewrote my DNA to increase the density of my muscles, providing me with the strength, endurance, speed, agility, healing factor, and toughness of ten men.
Today it was time to deliver a mighty blow to the Freedom Force, a blow that would cripple them once and for all. My mission was none other than to destroy their Headquarters. For months, our teams had researched a way to gain access to the Tower undetected, and finally discovered that from the sewers beneath the Tower, we might cut a hole through the floor, allowing me access to their basement, where I could set the explosives to take down the Tower, bypassing their security grid. The rest of the Red Fist had staged a diversionary attack on Washington DC, to ensure that the Tower would be unguarded. We left nothing to chance. I took out my laser torch, and carefully cut a hole in the super thick concrete. I lowered the heavy disc of concrete, and put it aside, then climbed up into the basement of the Tower, ready to plant my bombs.
10:22 Noah_Nyx: You know, being a hero is not as cool as it sounds, mostly because when you’re the youngest around, the others still treat you like a sidekick… I was introduced to the other heroes by chance, while I was fighting some bank robbers one of the heroes came in to lend a hand. He invited me to join their group and since I’ve grown up watching all these heroes fight crime and all, of course I said yes. What I didn’t expect was them telling me to stay put whenever things looked dangerous. I’m a freaking hero! I can handle dangerous situations. As I’m lying on the couch using my armor suit made from dragon scales for extra protection, I hold my mask over my face wondering if I should ignore the others and go help or stay put in case something else happens. I yell out a frustrated groan as I jump to my feet and start heading towards the kitchen. I put my mask on the side and I opened the fridge grabbing a bottle of water. “Could this day get any worse?” I mutter annoyedly while leaning back against the counter.
I’m so focused on my annoyance that I forgot to introduce myself. Hello there, I’m Noah Smith, aka Nyx! The crime fighting friendly neighborhood hero who uses magic and kung fu to kick some villain and evildoers ass! Unlike the others, I’m not in my 20s or 30s… or 40s but don’t tell Rorschach I told you that. I’m just fresh out of high school, not made it to college deciding to commit to my superhero life. Not as tall or as muscular as The Sentinel, I’m just 5’5” and about 180lbs, but don’t let my looks fool you, I can pack a punch… or a hundred. My powers? Well I can manipulate the elements around me, not too much, but enough I’d say, my mastery of chi is still a work in progress after all. I take another sip of the water bottle when the alarms start blaring off, I spit as the suddenness startles me and I run back to the command room to see what is going on. “Oh… It’s just showing off the others fighting in DC… Give me something real, Oracle!” I yell out in frustration.
10:11 The_Russian_Hammer: Carefully, I examine the basement as I effortlessly heave myself up out of the hole I’ve just cut into the floor, my super soldier muscles not even exerting themselves for such a simple feat. The basement is dark, and I reach down to my tactical belt, and pull out a pair of night vision goggles, sliding them onto my face, bringing the room into focus, everything shaded in green. Carefully I scan the surroundings, back up generators, additional banks of machinery and other devices that I don’t immediately identify. But what matters most to me are the main support columns, evenly spaced out across the basement.
Working quickly, I flow from column to column, moving with the grace of an elite fighter, a Spetsnaz trained in advanced infiltration, a skill that serves me now as it did when I still served the Soviet Union. I plant the explosives, one after the other, but then, as I plant the eighth and final explosive, I hear a small click, and a red LED starts flashing on a bank of equipment. I take off my goggles, frowning, then look down, and curse. My boot had just interrupted a thin, red laser across the floor. With my night vision goggles, I had never even noticed it. But still, I was not unduly troubled. The other members of the Freedom Force were not here to respond to any alarms, and I would be long gone before they were back … to be greeted by the rubble of their former Headquarters. I smiled briefly, and began to make my way back towards the hole I’d carved in the floor.
10:22 Noah_Nyx: The screen suddenly changes to the cameras in the basement, I see something moving but I can’t see exactly what it is. “Alright, I’ll check it.” I say as I make my way towards the basement. When I get there I’m faced with bombs scattered around the supporting pillars. My eyes go wide as I jump towards one and I spin my hands in a circle controlling the water in the air to freeze the first bomb's circuits. “How did you end up here?” I ask myself as I jump to the second one. The lights are still out so I’m just following the flowing red lights of the bombs. “Oracle! Turn on the lights!” I say midair landing on the second pillar to repeat the process. As the lights turn on and I jump to the third one I finally see the guilty party. A man in some sort of undercover suit running towards a hole in the ground. “Oh I see!” I jump towards him and I try to land between him and his escape route. I do the typical superhero landing and I get back to my feet changing into a fighting stance right away. “I’m sorry, but I can’t let you leave without asking a few questions. Would you mind telling me what your goal is here? You must be insane to attack our headquarters like this.”
(Fighting stance reference)
10:11 The_Russian_Hammer: Suddenly, I hear movement, someone entering the basement. I freeze, going completely still and silent. The members of the Freedom Force COULD not possibly be back this quickly. What the hell? I listen from my place of concealment, not quite able to make out what this stranger is doing, until I realize he has found the explosives I’ve carefully placed on each column. I can see him do something unusual to deactivate it, the blinking LED on the explosive going dim as he concentrates on it for a moment. Is that… ice? Forming on the edge of one of the units? I frown, then decide to make a run for it.
I’m always up for a fight, but taking on the entire Freedom Force by myself was not a fight, it was suicide. Then, suddenly, whoever this is leaps over my head in an impressive display of athleticism and blocks my path, landing in what is clearly an expert battle stance. My eyes narrow as he speaks to me.
I reply, in no mood for small talk, realizing that speed was of the essence. “Get out of my way, little hero, I have no time for your games.” As quick as a bolt of lighting, my hand snatches my bullwhip off my tactical belt, and with a split second flick of my massively powerful right arm, the whip uncoils, and latches onto a beam over head. My legs explode with massive power, like super coiled springs, and I swing forward on my coiled whip, extending my boot, driving it like a jackhammer towards the very centre of this little hero’s chest.
10:22 Noah_Nyx: As I land I finally get a good look at you, you’re much bigger than me and pretty muscular too, I wonder if those muscles are human made or just you working out a lot. You get your eyes on me and reply in a rather annoyed way. You call me “little hero” and it kind of gets on my nerves. You move fast, way too fast to be a normal human, I watch as you send your whip upwards and suddenly swing towards me, a rather impressive move, but not something I worry myself with much. I move my arms in a fast and fluid way, spinning them before pushing both palms forward towards you. Right before your boots make contact the air shifts blowing against you violently pushing you back making you swing backwards. I chase after you and I jump making fists with my hands but letting two fingers half closed as I move to punch your chi points hoping to paralyze your body for a bit. “Nice try Indiana Jones, but this ain’t the lost ark!”
10:11 The_Russian_Hammer: Just before my boot drives into his chest, he moves with a blur of speed, his hands spinning and joining together, palms pointed towards me. Originating from his palms, a fierce blast of wind smashes into my body, swinging me backwards. My eyes narrow… so… this little hero is not defenseless. I hold onto the end of my bullwhip, watching as you leap up into the air, your fists extended. Your stance, your speed, and the fluid, graceful way your body moves and reacts instantly tells me that this hero not only has some control over the elements, but is a highly trained fighter. But, so am I. I time it carefully, and before your fists impact my swinging body, I release my grip on my bullwhip, while you are still midair. I drop down, removing my body out of the path of your fists, and my hard-muscled right arm strikes like a viper, moving to seize your ankle as I fall, literally planning to snatch you out of the air and smash you to the floor like some kind of human club, snarling “Impressive little man, but I am not Indiana Jones. I’m far, far better.”
10:22 Noah_Nyx: We’re both in the air, in my head there’s no way you can escape this, but somehow you manage, your body falls slowly in my eyes almost in slow motion as I try to shift and adapt to your new positioning you grab my ankle and swing me down slamming me on the floor with great strength. I grunt feeling the floor cracking beneath me due to the impact and I’m very thankful to my dragon scale armor, saving me of a few broken bones. I kick your hand off my ankle and I spin on the floor making a strong current of air surround me as I get up. I move back a foot or two getting some distance between us as I move into my fighting stance once again. Eyes fixed on you, carefully watching as you move back up. “You’re strong… some would say superhumanly strong.” I say with narrowing eyes. “Who are you? I’ve never seen your face in the villain glossary they have upstairs.”
10:11 The_Russian_Hammer: I can tell he wasn’t expecting me to use the simple expedient of releasing my grip on the bullwhip to change my trajectory. And it worked perfectly, his body smashing to the floor with a satisfying crunch as I landed with cat-like grace. But annoyingly, his body was protected by some kind of armor. I flow backwards as you kick my hand free, my combat-training reacting on instinct as I assume a battle stance, facing off against you, circling slowly. “Some might say superhumanly strong indeed. You have not even come close to experiencing the full breadth of my might, little hero.” I study him carefully, my finely honed and trained mind observing his movements, analysing his stance, adjusting my tactics to take his skills and abilities into account. “Strange that you should ask who I am… I’ve never seen your face either. I was certain I knew all the heroes… The Sentinel … Rorschach… but you they have kept secret, I see. But as for me, I am known as The Russian Hammer, but you can call me Master.”
With those words I strike forward, my left fist surging in towards your face like a thunderbolt, the muscles only barely concealed by my form-fitting battle gear rippling and shifting with a surge of power. But my strike to your face was not my real attack, rather a distraction. A split second later, my right boot snaps out in a low, arcing kick designed to knock your legs out from under you.
10:22 Noah_Nyx: You get up and assume a battle stance that I’ve seen before, on mercenaries and assassins. I make a mental note to be extra careful with your attacks. You start to circle me and I spin around fluidly watching your movements. You call me out as an unknown hero and I look at you very confused. “Wow… didn’t pick you as a boomer… I’m Nyx and no, I’m not calling you Master…” I snarl back at you just as you come to me. I move my head to the side raising my arm to use my wrist to parry your fist away, my foot jumping from the ground as your leg tries to sweep me down. I carterwhel to the right and as I’m in the air I send a chi infused strike towards your lower left side, if my fingers manage to strike you it’d feel like an arrow had penetrated your body, piercing you leaving a very unpleasant stinging sensation.
10:11 The_Russian_Hammer: He parries my fist, which is as I expected, but then he cartwheels off to his right, I turn in place, preparing to disrupt his colorful little spin when suddenly, before I can block it, his hand darts out like a bee, slamming into my left side, over my heavily muscled obliques. I grunt, and stagger to my right, a sharp, numbing knifing pain stabbing through the thick layers of super soldier muscle protecting my core. The blow is far more painful than it should have been, given the force behind it. My eyes narrow sharply as I breathe through the tingling pain.
But I don’t hesitate for a second, reaching out one hand towards one of the columns close to hand, grabbing a pipe running up the column. Casually, as though it were made of cardboard instead of reinforced steel, I yank the pipe free, and it releases a jet of scalding water. Quickly, I bend the pipe and direct the jet of scalding water directly towards some type of electrical junction box mounted to the wall behind you. I leap up, landing lightly onto the top of a large cabinet as the junction box erupts in a localized explosion of sparks and electricity, shorting out instantly.
10:22 Noah_Nyx: My fist hits it’s mark and I can see you moving back holding your side. You then reach for the pipes and you yank it off the walls. A jet of water flying upwards until you direct it towards me. I jump back, spinning in the air and controlling the water to spin around me. I don’t see it hitting the junction box, but the explosion knocks me forward towards you and I fall not so gracefully at your feet. My ears are ringing from the sound of the explosion and the lights go dark again. I feel my body tingling from the electricity that flew out to my back. It slows me down for now as I channel my inner chi to take the electricity out and recover my speed. At this point I have lost you from sight, not entirely sure where you are.
10:11 The_Russian_Hammer: The explosion from the junction box smashes you forward, nearly at my feet. I can see little wisps of smoke rising from the back of your strange armor, and can tell by your ungraceful movements that you are stunned. I leap up, my legs effortlessly catapulting me up onto a nearby cabinet, landing as silent as the night. The room goes dark again, no doubt from my little stunt. I take out my night vision goggles once more from my belt, slipping them over my eyes, turning the room into shades of light green. Then, not planning on giving you any chance to recover, I silently leap down from the cabinet, extending both of my boots, seeking to drive my 300 pounds of combat-forged super soldier muscle down like a hammer blow to the small of your back in a savage double stomp while you are still laid out.
10:22 Noah_Nyx: Laid out recovering slower than I wish I was. I start to feel my body going back to normal, I raise my head to see the entire room has gone dark. “Dammit!” I curse under my breath as I try to get up, but just as I push up your boots land on my back forcing me back down. I yell out in pain as your weight crushes me against the wet floor and I try to twist my body suddenly to unbalance you and make you drop off me.
10:11 The_Russian_Hammer: I land with a satisfying crunch, my boots driving powerfully into the small of his back. I can feel him shifting and squirming beneath me almost instantly, to unbalance me. That was fine, I had no intention of standing on top of your back for any great length of time. Fluidly, I shift my stance, allowing my right foot to slide off and dig into the concrete floor, dropping my left knee, spearing it into the back of your armor in an attempt to keep you pinned in place. Then, I reach down with my left hand towards the bottom of your armor, near your waist. It is flexible, tough, made of some kind of metallic alloy I don’t recognize. The research division of the Red Fist would love to study it.
I try to pull it back, seeking to worm my right hand down underneath the flap of that armor, my thumb seeking out your lower lumbar spine. As a Spetsnaz, we trained in all forms of combat, wrestling, systema, boxing, kickboxing, and the use of nerve holds. I intended to stab my thumb down at the nerve cluster located near the base of your spine, with far more force than any normal man could deliver, looking to short-circuit your nervous system and flood your brain with a savage burst of pain.
10:22 Noah_Nyx: I can tell it wasn’t a rock that landed on top of me, and as you switch stance I stay trapped under your weight by your knee. This was one of those moments I wish I had super strength. I feel your hand move over my armor and then your finger tries to move under it. The armor feels like it has a mind of its own, blocking the path and not allowing you contact with my skin. I have to think fast, find a way to break free from this. I push my hands on the ground and I focus on creating gauntlets of stone which I use to strike you as I swing my hands back blindly hoping to hit your head. I might not have super strength, but even a super soldier wouldn’t be able to ignore something like that.
10:11 The_Russian_Hammer: His armor is remarkable, writhing in my grasp as I attempt to force my hand beneath it. While I’m focused on outsmarting this strange armor, suddenly what feels like a sledge hammer rockets up from the ground, and smashes into the side of my head. I let out a groan of pain, my balance disrupted, as I fall off you. It felt like I’d been smashed upside my head with a boulder. My brain was a bit scrambled, and I could feel a small trickle of blood down the side of my face from the impact.
Even dazed, my combat training kicked in, and as I toppled, I smoothly turned it into a shoulder roll, splashing through the pooling water, and springing back up to my feet. Unfortunately, my night vision goggles were damaged from the blow, and I tossed them off, and deliberately slowed my breathing down, focusing my attention on my hearing, as I stood absolutely still, my head throbbing, ready for anything.
10:22 Noah_Nyx: I hear and feel my hand connecting to something. The weight over me seems to go away and I quickly get back on my feet. I can’t see anything in the room, but I can sense everything around. The flow of the water reveals to me your location and I start to circle my arms making the water rise and circle around me before I trust my fist forward launching a water spear directly towards your chest. The water is imbued with some of my chi adding to it’s pressure as it moves fast towards you. If the water connects to your body it would feel like a huge wave had slammed itself against you knocking you back towards the wall, the water flow keeps on pushing you back in an attempt to keep your body pinned against the wall.
10:11 The_Russian_Hammer: Suddenly, out of the dark, a massive stream of water smashes into my hard-muscled chest, slamming me back into the wall with terrific force, pinning me in place. I grunt, astounded at the power and pressure of that stream of water, again it was far beyond what it should be. I visualize the source of the water, then suddenly, exerting every muscle in my body, flexing and rippling with power, I duck down, beneath the stream, my body soaking wet, dripping. Without a moment’s hesitation, I plant my boots against the wall behind me, and explode off that wall, like a missile. I streak through the air, just below the stream of water, aiming to deliver a massive, super powered tackle to the hero’s midsection, hoping to take him by surprise with my maneuver. His powers … were unique. I could already think of dozens of ways they could be used to further the cause of the Red Fist. I wondered…. A new idea occurred to me… rather than destroying this hero… could I capture him and take him with me before the rest of the Freedom Force showed up?
10:22 Noah_Nyx: You escape the water stream but I don’t know your location now, you come flying and suddenly your body smashes into my core and I lose my breath. If it wasn’t for my armour I might have just been snapped in two… I drop down on the water sliding down the floor until I’m right in front of the hole you made your entrance in. The lights come back on, the flow of electricity is restored, the voice of the hero's AI speaks in the room: “Power restored, message from Rorschach. Now playing: Hey kid! We finished things here and will be there soon, try not to break anything until we arrive.” I grunt and roll to get on my fours, holding my aching core. “So they’re on their way… I just need to hold this guy a few minutes longer for backup…” I think to myself as I get back to my feet, focusing my chi on my core to diminish the pain so I can keep on fighting.
10:11 The_Russian_Hammer: My shoulder makes solid contact with his armored abs, the force of the blow driving him backwards to the floor, sliding him along the slick concrete from the savage force of my impact. Suddenly, as I kip back up to my feet, preparing to continue my assault, the lights flip on, and a computerized voice makes an announcement. The news is both good and bad. They are not here in the building… but the other heroes are on their way back. My eyes narrow, as I arrow in on the young, armored hero. I can tell my shoulder tackle hurt him, by the way he’s holding his core. I have to work quickly. Time to pull out all the stops.
I draw my massive Hammer from my belt, and spring forward, holding the weapon expertly over my head. I leap at the last second, and bring the Hammer down in a terrific blow aimed between your shoulder blades, carefully timing my strike just when you are in the middle of getting up.
10:22 Noah_Nyx: I don’t get enough time to get back to my feet fully, as I’m on one knee bringing my torso up, something hard slams into my back hitting me between my shoulders… Once again saved by my armor as I collapse down to the ground hitting my head on the concrete stunning me momentarily. My ears ringing again as I try to move my body, but in my stunned state nothing moves. I need to fight back, or at least resist and stall until the others arrive. My arms twitch as I put my palms back down trying to bring my body back up once again, showing my resolve in stopping you by refusing to stay down. I might not be able to fight you, but my second goal seems to be almost achieved. Earlier when I used the water to pin you against the wall, I also sent some water to the bombs you planted around the room, managing to freeze the circuits of almost all of them. The problem is, if one goes off the others will follow with a chain effect. I need to get to that last one if I want to save the tower.
I get myself back up and I turn around to face you, moving fast as I send my fist at your left pec and follow with a forearm slam to your jaw, aiming on keeping you in the defensive as I look for the missing bomb. My eyes keep leaving you from time to time as I try to scan around the room to find the missing bomb.
10:11 The_Russian_Hammer: My Hammer smashes deep between your shoulder blades, a blow that would have outright killed a normal man, but again that strange armor you wear protects you. You refuse to stay down, regaining your footing, as I swing my heavy Hammer back, recovering from my blow. My Hammer is a mighty weapon, but it is slower to use and wield than my fists alone.
My guard is out of position, when you send your fist at my left pec, followed by a forearm slam to my jaw. I look at you almost curiously, as each blow only slightly staggers me. I realize then that the other blows you used against me must have been infused with some other power of yours, because these were simply no threat at all.
Your eyes are darting around the room, and suddenly I realize what you are doing… the bombs. You are seeking out the bombs to defuse them like you did the first three. I must put a stop to that at once!
Taking advantage of your distraction, smoothly, I drive the head of my Hammer towards your midsection, focusing on your already aching abs. I secure a double grip on the haft to add additional power to my blow, driving it towards your abs with a surge of my super human might.
10:22 Noah_Nyx: My eyes are venturing around the room and I finally see the last bomb. I leap away avoiding your hammer and I kick the water in front of me using my chi to turn it into ice shards that fly towards you. Given your superhuman endurance is very unlikely they’ll do much, but their goal is to slow you down right now. I bolt towards the pillar where the last bomb is, my feet not sinking in the water helping me move faster before I leap in the air reaching for the bomb ready to use my chi ready to freeze it’s circuits.
10:11 The_Russian_Hammer: Using your speed, you avoid my Hammer smash, and cursing I re-sheathe my Hammer, it’s too slow of a weapon to be used against you. Then, a spray of ice shards fly towards me, which I grunt, as they smash into my uniform, ripping small holes in the tough material, but not slowing me down. I see your target… and there is only one action left for me. I hit the remote on my belt, and suddenly, the final bomb detonates. It’s not a vast explosion, but rather, a very focused explosion. The force of the blow is mainly directed towards the column, sheering it in two, sending a spray of reinforced concrete shards flying outwards. The shockwave from the explosive rips through the underground basement like a ripple of force, and as it touches each of the other bombs, they in turn begin to detonate, one after the other like a domino effect. Their electronics might be fried, but the force of the shockwave was enough to trigger them to detonate.
I had planned to be far away when this happened…. But that little hero left me no choice. Time seems to slow as I leap for the hole in the floor, landing on the sewer walkway beneath the Freedom Force’s tower, darting with all my speed to get clear of the collapsing Tower. The collapse happened over the course of tens of seconds… and I was certain that if he was clever enough, the little hero would be able to escape. His armor would protect him from the concussive shockwave from the explosives, and he knew where the hole was that I had used. If everything worked out, he would come to me.
10:22 Noah_Nyx: BOOOM! The bomb explodes before I can reach it, the debris of the column flies towards me one hitting my chin hard enough to push me back. I drop down and before I can get up my eyes go wide as I look at the other bombs going off. “NO! NO! NO!!” I yell out as the building starts to collapse. There’s no way out for me… except… I turn back and see the hole you used to enter… It’s my only safe escape route, I don’t see you around so I just assume that you’re long gone by now. I leap and fall into the hole I land roughly on my side grunting in pain, one large boulder follows me falling on my ankle trapping my leg underneath it. I cry out in pain and I try to pull it free, but I can’t manage it. I reach for my communicator to ask for help from the other heroes, I don’t have much of a choice right now… I need to call for backup.
10:11 The_Russian_Hammer: I reach what I consider to be a safe distance. The Tower of the Freedom Force will, if I have done my homework, pancake as it collapses. As long as I am beyond the perimeter, I should be fine. I turn, and watch the area beneath the hole. Soon, I see you dropping down out of the hole. Yes… this little hero is clever, very clever and fast. But then, something happens I did not anticipate. A large chunk of concrete falls through hole trapping the hero beneath it. I frown. I really wanted to capture him… it would not serve my purposes for him to die. Grunting, I surge forward. I only have mere seconds to act. I reach the trapped hero, dimly illuminated by the flickering lights beneath the sewer tunnels, and bend down, gripping the rim of the slab of heavy concrete. It must weigh around a ton, but as my muscles smoothly flex and ripple with power, I heave it up, and toss it aside. It’s an effort, even for me, but not the heaviest I have ever lifted. Then, with a glance up, I see the entire tower beginning to collapse.
Without hesitating, I grab the hero by the collar of his unique armor, and run, dragging him behind me as I pour on the speed, only just managing to escape the cascade of rubble and debris from the collapse of the Freedom Force’s iconic headquarters, the sewer tunnel running beneath their now destroyed HQ collapsing in turn, sending a massive wave of dust washing through the narrow tunnel, finally I stop, having ran far enough to be safe for the moment, I drop my grip on his collar, and turn, letting out a laugh of triumph at the successful destruction of their HQ.
10:22 Noah_Nyx: I saw more rubble coming, thought I was done for, but the villain came back to save me? What? Why? I don’t get any time to question him as he grabs me by the collar behind my head and pulls me roughly away from the falling debris. He takes me away fast and carries me so easily… When he finally stops he drops me down on my ass and I finally feel the pain on my ankle. The bone must have been crushed… It hurts so bad. While he’s distracted laughing as his accomplishment I reach for my communicator once again, but I can’t find it… must have dropped it when he pulled me away so roughly. I look around and put my hand on the water below me. I need to find a way to stop this man and get the others to come here. I infuse my chi in the water, freezing it around your feet to trap them. Given the small amount it shouldn’t do much, but I can’t just sit there defeated can I?
10:11 The_Russian_Hammer: Suddenly, my laughter is abruptly cut short as cold assaults my boots. I look down with astonishment, to see my boots trapped in ice. I let out a roar as I flex my legs, and heave my boots out of the ice, sending shards of ice exploding in all directions. I reach down for the hero, his ankle, I think it might have been broken. I grab him by the collar of his armor, then I pull him up into my arms. I stare into his eyes, my gaze fierce, harder than steel. I wrap the vast, hard-muscled girth of my super humanly strong arms around his armored core, and then I begin to crush, staring into his eyes as I start to snarl through clenched teeth, “Do you seriously believe you can stand against me, little hero? Your powers and training are impressive, I grant you that, but they are no match for my might.” Slowly, I start to compress my arms together. That armor of yours is impressive, able to protect against heavy blows… but let’s see how it handles a steady, determined compressive force.
“I think the Freedom Force made a terrible mistake, leaving you in charge of their Headquarters. But their mistake was my gain. You are going to become a … guest … of the Red Fist, little hero.”
10:22 Noah_Nyx: You easily break out of the ice as expected. I finish writing a message on the floor just as you grab my collar and pull me up off my feet before you. I have my eyes locked on yours as you gaze into me in a very intimidating way. I feel your arm wrapping around me and then you move the other one for the same purpose. I grunt arms trapped against my sides as you slowly start to squeeze me between your arms. I’m pressed hard against your body which feels like it’s made of vibranium or some really hard metal. I hear your taunts and as much as I want to snap back at you, I’m too busy trying not to be crushed to do so. I try to channel my chi, but your strength is way beyond what I expected. I try to kick you, but my feet don’t seem to do much against your thighs. “Ahhhh... arghhhh... arrggghhhhh!” I grunt as my body arches back from the pressure, unable to escape.
10:11 The_Russian_Hammer: As I had suspected, your armor protects you from blows, but from the compressive force of my Russian bearhug? No, not so much. I slowly start to grin as I feel your resistance begin to fade. You kick my thighs, but the rock-hard muscle barely acknowledges the contact. I grunt, gathering more strength. My biceps flex and bulge, rippling with a new surge of power, the armor surrounding your core bowing inwards, as the pressure is transferred directly to your body. I am a super soldier, with incredible super human strength, but your armor provides enough protection to require me to use nearly all of it in order to crush you out. Sweat starts to pour down my chest and arms, my temple, my face, and into my beard, but my resolve never falters as I slowly keep increasing the pressure. “It is time for you to take a nap, my little hero. Time for you to surrender. This battle is lost. You have lost. It is time for you to begin the process of accepting what that means…”
I am timing the pulses and surges of my crushing might carefully now, with a precision that comes from deep skill. Each time you breathe out, I crush in a little more, making it that much harder for you to draw your next breath. Eventually, bit by bit, I am robbing you of your breath, pushing you closer and closer to unconsciousness.
10:22 Noah_Nyx: Your arms seem to only increase the pressure applied to me. I grunt, losing my breath, not able to breathe anymore… I decide to go for a last resort tactic and I focus my chi on my armor, making the scales more harsh and hotter. The armor gains a new red glow and the scales move like they’re alive and on fire. I can’t keep my concentration long and my body goes limp in your hold, my armor quieting down as I finally go out in your crushing bearhug.
