If a dispute between participants arises it is expected that the participants will make a reasonable effort to respectfully work it out between themselves first. If a resolution cannot be reached then the following process will be adhered to. (PROTEST FILED: <insert a BRIEF reason for the protest, i.e., "superman," "ignored move," etc. here>) MUST be inserted into the match at the moment the dispute occurred and the opponent must acknowledge that the match is being protested (a simple "acknowledged/understood/ok" will suffice). Once a protest is made the match should continue to a finish if possible and the match submitted through the Tournament portal. The fighter making the protest (or the first protest if both fighters file protests) shall be the one to post the match and in doing so must tag the organizer so as to flag the match for review. No match will be approved for posting while under active protest. The participant making the protest must also follow up with a note/message to the organizer explaining as briefly as possible, the reasoning for their protest. Any protest that does not adhere to this process may be disallowed.

Once a protest is received the organizer will review the protest, the match, whether or not the match was completed, and may consider any relevant information received via follow up with either participant. The organizer will then make a ruling that will be disseminated to both participants. The organizer's ruling is FINAL and may require the participants to resume the match from the point of protest or may result in the disqualification of one or both participants. In the event that one participant is disqualified then the other participant may be advanced automatically or may be required to resume the match from the point of protest against an alternate opponent who will step in for the disqualified participant. Should both participants be disqualified then the spot reserved for the match's winner may be filled by an alternate or a bye may be issued.
