These rules for pro-wrestling and dice fighting are excellent, and clearly written. Well done to Starfox for providing them. I have discussed these rules and other rules, with a number of people, including Aine, and have tested them with Cyber Roller (story just published) and I think they work really well for realistic action. I think it is important for everyone to read Starfox's detailed document, but I have taken the liberty of writing a short executive summary of the main points for pro-wrestling using these rules, and included some thoughts on open posting:

SUMMARY OF FIGHT DICE RULES FOR PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING (Concepts from Starfox’s more detailed document: (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1RrB0QyVv_8t5qSRu3G2GqbUrMg7qf_bD/view?usp=sharing)
***MAIN GENERAL POINT: write open posts (i.e. describe your attack as "an attempt") and use the attack commands AFTER your description. Generally leave it to the defender to describe how the attack totally hammered them or how they mitigated the impact or how they foiled the attack based on the outcome of the attack commands. In a multi attack sequence that is successful, where the next attack depends on the success of the first attack, some discretion should be granted to have a continuous flow of story.

STEP1: set your hit points by: !Set HP 100 (or to whatever level you which).
There are 4 basic attack commands: !punch, !kick, !hold, !attack,

BEFORE using the attack command describe your attack in an open post. On your turn, you get a maximum of 3 attacks….in sequence….each attack must succeed to move onto to the next attack. If the first attack fails, your turn ends. (Note, you get 2 attempts to do a submission hold, as well as additional bonus attacks).
BONUS ATTACK, if an attack generates an 11 or 12, it is a critical attack that stuns your opponent, and you get a bonus attack immediately following, using the !damage command (this automatically succeeds and deducts points). You should describe your attack first. There could be multiple bonus attacks.
SUBMISSION HOLDS – write out the attack, then use !hold to determine if it is successful or not, you can do a second attempt if first fails (Your turn always ends after two failed !hold attempts); if a hold succeeds, the defender can attempt escape using !escape before the hold is fully locked in, if escape succeeds on the first try, the defender can attack; if the first escape attempt fails, the hold is locked in and the attacker can use !pain on their turn to cause damage….until defender escapes, and defender can not attack immediately after escaping. Or instead of escape, a defender can try !reverse, if the hold is reversible. For a hold on the canvass, logic dictates that you first have to get your opponent on the ground!
SPECIAL ATTACKS: Any attack that is not a punch, kick, or submission hold falls into the General Attack category (i.e., chest chops, clotheslines, aerial attacks, suplexes, judo throws, trips etc.). These attacks are special, use the !Attack command which, if successful, will also generate a damage score.
PINS: may be utilized at any point in the fight where they would logically flow from the action preceding. For example, the attacker could use !attack to throw the defender to the ground, !attack to drop an elbow on their chest, and then declare a pin. The attacker describes the pin attempt (for example, what kind of pin) and that constitutes the end of their turn. The defender then has an initial chance to prevent the pin from happening using !escape, and if that fails, three chances to escape, using !escape, equivalent to a 3 count.

FIGHT ENDING A wrestler who has 0 hit points is either KO’d or submitted. A fighter can also loose by failing to escape a pin.

SUMMARY COMMAND LIST:
!punch; the use is obvious
!kick, the use is obvious
!hold, use to get a submission hold
!attack, use for attacks that are not punches, kicks, holds
!damage, use after a bonus attack generated by a preceding 11 or 12
!pain, use to inflict pain after a submission hold is locked in
!escape, use to escape a submission hold or a pin
!reverse, use to reverse a submission hold if the hold is reversible
!recover (allows you to recover some hit points between rounds)

This is EXCELLENT! I would only clarify that you get 3 TOTAL attempts to escape a pin, not 1 quick attempt and 3 subsequent. Thanks for the "Quickstart/Cliffnotes Version"! As you can tell im fairly wordy and have a difficult time boiling things down, why use 1 word when 5 will suffice? :)

Thanks Starfox, will note the information on pins! The system will work well for MMA as well, and I've adapted it to include Ground and pound attacks. I hope more fighters will get interested in this.

Awesome!! I tried to write them so they would work for any type of combat, though boxing i thought needed different guidelines given the imitations of the sport. :) Hopefully more people do get interested!!

DISCLAIMER: There is no right or wrong way to use dice in a combat scenario as long as the parties involved agree to the usage. To that end the document linked above should be considered as nothing more than a framework and suggested usage which can be altered and adapted by the parties involved. I hope you find it useful. – Starfox
