11:21 Commander_Chris_Carson: “He’s not ready,”

11:21 Commander_Chris_Carson: Commander Chris Carson leaned forward, looking up, his eyes slanted at Captain Alex Jennings. “I’m his father. I’ll tell you when he is ready.”

11:21 Captain_Alex_Jennings: Alex sighed. “Chris, you have to see it. The kid is a rock star. He’s 19 and the recruits who joined us last year who were a year older don’t come close to the capabilities that Austin possesses.” The formalities had been pushed aside. Jennings had been Carson’s top lieutenant for ten years now. They had ditched them five years ago when Chris had agreed to stopping the ‘sir’s’ and ‘commander’s’

11:21 Commander_Chris_Carson: “I don’t need to tell you how dangerous it is what we do. He may be a rock star. He may be old enough. But he’s my son. And I don’t think he is.” Chris leaned back in the chair and crossed his arms, doubling down on his stance with the body language.

11:21 Captain_Alex_Jennings: Alex tried a different tactic. “You don’t understand what this will do to him. He wants this. He’s wanted it for years - hell since he was a kid running around on base, getting locked in utility closets and playing GI Joe with the guys. Waiting another year serves no purpose. We need good men, good men like you.” He stalked on the other side of the desk. He knew he was right on this issue - he just needed Chris to trust him. He had trained Austiin since the kid was 12. Alex knew every bit that the young man could pass the trial and that he would excel in the field. And nobody in the unit dared to challenge Chris on most issues, let alone his son going through the CCS trial.

11:21 Commander_Chris_Carson: “And what if he fails?” Carson countered. “What happens to his morale then? What happens when he can’t hang with the alpha and gets beat? What happens when…”

11:21 Captain_Alex_Jennings: “Then he fails!” Alex said, cutting Chris off. “Damnit Chris, we need to also let him fail. He needs to be his own man. He wants to be. He’s in your shadow right now but it shouldn’t be that way anymore. I am telling you, he is ready. At least let him try the first test. It is brutal and he will show you he is ready.

11:21 Commander_Chris_Carson: Chris took a deep breath and leaned backward, the chair squeaking. He wanted the best for his son, as any father would. And he could appreciate what Alex was saying. In the back of his mind, he knew this day would eventually come. Ever since Alex had started training Austin, he knew the decision would come to have to approve the test for his son.

11:21 Commander_Chris_Carson: “You are a fuck, you know that,” Chris said, shaking his head.

11:21 Captain_Alex_Jennings: “Don’t you join me with that designation by making the wrong decision.” Alex countered.

11:21 Commander_Chris_Carson: Chris looked at him, eyes locked. There was a lot of pressure on Chris with this decision. He didn’t want his men to think he was doing his son any favors. The CCS agents would have to be tough and good at what they do. Austin would have to pass this test on his own and without help. He slowly shook his head, a slight smirk coming to his face as he leaned forward again and down at the paperwork on his desk. “Two weeks. James will play the alpha role. Nick will handle phase 1. And if he fails - two years before he tries again. You tell him that.”

11:21 Captain_Alex_Jennings: Alex nodded. He knew better than to say anything else. “Two weeks. He will be ready.”

11:21 Captain_Alex_Jennings: He turned as quickly as he could and got out of Chris’ office, happy to secure the victory. He didn’t realize it in the moment but he was sweating. It was a passionate conversation on many things but the sweat line on his military green t-shirt showed was evidence of its intensity. The ginger alpha’s beard was cropped close, his jeans tight fitting and his black boots thumping as he headed downstairs to the mess hall, which was mostly empty. In the far corner was Austin, sitting and eating. He had told Austin to meet him here for a late dinner after the weekly meeting he had with Chris. He had no idea what Alex had just done.

11:21 Austin_Carson: I sat at the cafeteria table, planted on the hard bench, my right hand occasionally reaching down with my fork to grab a bite of food, my other hand holding my tablet. My face was screwed up with a look of intense concentration. Fresh from the gym, I was still wearing my workout gear, a tight, green muscle hugging t-shirt, damp with sweat, and a pair of black compression shorts, along with my sneaks. I’d been ramping up the intensity of my training, both mental and physical, over the past few months, ever since I turned 19.

11:21 Austin_Carson: Alex had been making extra time to help me with my training. He was like that. He was always looking out for me, always pushing me harder, always there to encourage me when I failed to reach a goal. Always there to celebrate with me when I smashed it. It had been that way since my mother died, when I was 12. My dad had been just as devastated as I had been, but he’d only recently become the Commander of the CCS, and just when I needed him most, he’d be called away to oversee a top secret action. I was so fucking bitter, but suddenly Alex was there. Without a word, he suddenly started training me in hand to hand combat. At first, I was sullen, withdrawn, I trained because he didn’t give me a choice, not because I wanted to.

11:21 Austin_Carson: Eventually, during one of my training sessions I just lost it, everything inside, all that rage just exploded. All the anger and resentment I’d been bottling up erupted. I don’t even remember the actual explosion, just remember feeling white hot rage and how much I wanted to smash Alex’s face in, make him pay for taking my mom and my dad away from me when I needed them most. The next thing I remember, he’s got his arms wrapped around me, crushing me tight in his grip. I’d somehow managed to bloody up his face, blacken his eye, but he never mentioned it, and there wasn’t a scratch on me. I broke down as he held me, and it was one of the most cathartic moments I’d ever experienced. After that I began to open up, and through time I learned that my dad didn’t have any choice in the matter, and that he’d specifically asked Captain Alex, Captain Nick, Lt. Aaron, Lt. James, and all the other dudes to look after me, not as their commander, but as his friend. I realized that this had been as hard on my dad as it had been on me.

11:21 Austin_Carson: I’d always idolized Alex and Nick and the others when I was a little boy, playing soldier, and wanting to be just like them. But as I started to train with them, get to know them more as men, began to truly understand the danger, the risk, and the sacrifices they accepted to keep everyone safe, I realized that these men were heroes, and I was going to be one of them. It became the focus of my life.

11:21 Austin_Carson: As I approached my19th birthday, I’d started to pressure my dad. I wanted to join the CCS, I had been training hard, studying hard. I’d been studying tactics, strategy, field electronics, covert intelligence techniques, stealth and camouflage, weapons handling, hand to hand combat, knife handling, with total focus and intensity. Alex had been coaching me every step of the way, passing on his skills, sparring with me, training me up physically and mentally. He knew what it took to pass the CCS trials, and he knew I was ready, he’d taught me himself. To me, Alex was the uncle I’d never had, and in some ways, a father as well. My own dad would have loved to oversee my training, but the demands on his time as the commander of the CCS never allowed that. I wasn’t bitter anymore, I understood, and I respected him.

11:21 Austin_Carson: But he’d really been pissing me off lately, every time I’d asked him when I could take the trials, he kept putting me off. I was ready. I knew I was ready. Alex knew it. Nick knew it. Aaron and James knew it. I was ready. Everyone knew it except my dad. I was about halfway through my dinner, and flipping the page on my field electronics manual I was studying, this section was dealing with specialized techniques for bomb defusal, when I heard a pair of familiar footsteps. Instantly, my hard, handsome face, framed by a neatly trimmed beard I’d recently started to grow, looked up and broke into a broad smile as Alex hurried over. I’d never admit it of course, but my decision to start growing my beard was definitely inspired by how fucking good Alex’s beard looked.

11:21 Captain_Alex_Jennings: Alex hurried through the cafeteria and picked up his food, heading over to Austin. “Hey buddy! How’s it going? Did you finish the workout I gave you for today?”

11:21 Austin_Carson: “Hey Alex, not like you to stand me up!!” I teased him. I shoveled in another forkful of food, suddenly conscious of the damp sweat causing my t-shirt to stick to my muscled torso. “Hell yeah I finished it! James was lifting with me today.” I grinned. “He tried to hide it, but I know his ass was impressed when I squatted 660 for 4 reps. You know how I know? Because for once he’d didn’t have a put down ready.” I chuckled. My dick went stiff. James was a conundrum. He trained hard with me, like all the other men at the CCS, but he was always faintly dismissive of my efforts. I’d talked with Alex about it, and Alex explained that James had it in his head that I’d gotten special treatment as the Commander’s son, and he resented that. It fucking sucked, though I didn’t let it show. Ever since I started dealing with puberty, and came to realize that I was wired for dudes, I’d had a savage crush on James. I’d channeled it into building up a rivalry with him, feeling somehow that I needed to prove myself to him by outdoing him at everything the cocky fucker thought he was best at.

11:21 Captain_Alex_Jennings: The fact that Austin may have finally impressed James was lost on me at the moment. Alex moved past it quickly. “660 is huge, Austin. Your dad never did 660 from what I know. That might be a CCS record at 4 reps.”

11:21 Captain_Alex_Jennings: Normally Alex would stop and celebrate that achievement but he couldn’t help to want to share the good news. “It’s a good thing you’re so pumped, because you’re about to get more pumped. I talked with your dad. All the hard work you’ve put in - turning down a West Point scholarship, the daily training for the past 6 years, both physical and academic. You’re super smart, strong and savvy in everything you do. Now it’s time to prove it one final time. Your CCS trial will be in two weeks! He gave his approval!” A huge smile came to Alex’s bearded face, knowing just what this would mean to Austin.

11:21 Austin_Carson: Suddenly, my head snaps up and my eyes lock onto Alex’s. Did he just say what I thought he said? I remember when everyone made such a huge deal about being offered that West Point appointment last year. My dad in particular wanted to make sure I understood what an honor it was. But I had my goal. I knew what I wanted. Why the hell didn’t my Dad see that I was serious? Had really been getting to me lately, but finally. Well fuck. I broke out into a huge grin, excitement starting to bubble up inside me. I fought to keep myself from overreacting, but what I felt like doing was spring up outta my chair and doing flips.

11:21 Austin_Carson: I felt like I was on top of the world. Finally, I’d get my chance to prove to Alex, to my Dad, to everyone here that I was ready to take my place at their side. I was a fucking warrior, just like them. I knew it. And now they would too. My eyes are shining with the intensity of the emotions that were surging through me. I look away for a minute to compose myself, then look back at Alex. I knew he had managed to pull this off. He had convinced my Dad that I was ready. My dad respected Alex. He wouldn’t have listened to me. But Alex he’d listen to. Alex was always there for me. Always looking out for me. How the hell could I ever let him know how much I appreciated him? Respected him. Fuck, I’d take a bullet for him and count myself honored. “Alex… man… I don’t know how you talked him around, but thanks man. I owe you huge.”

11:21 Captain_Alex_Jennings: Alex smiled as he took in Austin’s reaction. He took a bite of his food, paternal pride and happiness coming to his face even if Austin wasn’t his son . Austin was the son Alex didn’t have. This would be a moment Alex would remember for a while. Especially if Austin could now pass this trial.

11:21 Captain_Alex_Jennings: ‘If’…Alex thought to himself. ‘No, when.” There had been many moments over the years where Austin had really impressed him with his physical and mental capability. Like when Austin was 17 and he out-benched Alex (which was now a regular occurrence - Austin packed power). Or when he was 15, he was the youngest to ever complete the wilderness challenge - 2 months with nothing but a few basic tools in the middle of the woods. He thrived in it and when they found him, it looked like he could have lasted another two months.

11:21 Captain_Alex_Jennings: Austin was like his father. Tough as nails, built like a brick wall and as sharp as a tack. He was going to crush this initiation.“Well your dad…he’s a big man. If you talk him around in circles, you eventually get the angle you need to knock him down,” Alex said with a smirk, using the fight tactic to explain his months of conversations with Chris Carson on this very topic.

11:21 Captain_Alex_Jennings: “Now we’re going to make sure that you aren’t just ready, but that you challenge the record books. And that you do better than he did at the trial. Every CCS agent is measured meticulously in their performance metrics.” He thought back to his own trial. He had survived part one, which was brutal but part two he made a critical error that slowed him down, making his ultimate score above average but only in the top 20% of CCS. Chris Carson had been a top 5% agent and that is what he was going to make Austin. And hopefully better.

11:21 Captain_Alex_Jennings: “But what I can’t do is tell you what will happen. You’ll need to learn, experience, adapt and succeed on your own when you get into it. The trial is brutal. You will get hurt. Only a small handful of the few thousand agents that have come through the CCS over the past 50 years have completed the trial. It’s designed to push all of your limits.”

11:21 Austin_Carson: I nod slowly, latched onto every word Alex was saying. “I’m ready. I’ve been training for this moment from the day you tossed my sullen, rebellious ass on the mats when I was only 12 and started teaching me how to be a man. I’m ready. I’ll make you proud. I’ll make my dad proud. I’ll make the whole team proud. CCS is about to have one of the most dedicated agents in its history. Let’s do this. What can I do to get ready?” I was bursting with eagerness and enthusiasm. My muscles were involuntarily flexing, stretching out the fabric of my t-shirt, almost as if I was ready to leap off the bench and dive into the thick of the action right now. My eyes were intense and focused.

11:21 Captain_Alex_Jennings: “You will be ready. Eat up, you’re going to need your strength,” Alex says, nodding at the rest of Austin’s plate.

11:21 Captain_Alex_Jennings: The two finished their meal and then spent a little time mapping out the two weeks ahead. The training plan that Alex had given Austin shifted radically. He knew just what Austin would go through and while he couldn’t share it, he could give him every possible chance to succeed by focusing on things that would help him.

11:21 Captain_Alex_Jennings: Austin was a tough kid. The two had spent hundreds of hours sparing and both had taken some lumps from the experience, especially as Austin eclipsed Alex in size. But he had to build up Austin’s immunity. He cut Austin’s schedule entirely - no hanging out with friends, no junk food and no sex. He didn’t know much about whether Austin liked girls or guys, or if among his small group of base friends whether he was sexually active but now was not the time to be wasting energy on sexual pleasures.

11:21 Captain_Alex_Jennings: Over the first week and a half, Austin’s diet was specifically honed in for what would lie ahead, looking to give him every ounce of strength and energy that it could. In addition to their standard routines that took over 3 hours each day for Austin to complete, they focused a tremendous amount into body conditioning. Each routine would inflict damage into Austin to help his bones, muscles and body get used to pain and punishment. Body striking, shin rolling, nerve holds, and some head punishment was all added into the routine. It was a fine line - he didn’t want to incapacitate Austin but he needed to make the young man hurt. It hurt him to do it too. He didn’t want to see Austin in pain but he knew, and Austin trusted, that it would help in the long run.

11:21 Captain_Alex_Jennings: A few days before, it all stopped. Austin would need to heal up as much as he could so he could go into this rested. Alex kept him on a strict schedule to maximize the recovery of his body. Each day included massage and other physical therapy treatments to help Austin return to full form. On the eve of the trial, after having a light meal, Alex told Austin he was proud of him and that all of the hardship of the past few weeks would pay off. He encouraged Austin to get some good rest and left him to his thoughts to mentally prepare for what would happen tomorrow.

11:21 Captain_Alex_Jennings: Alex picked Chris up the following morning at 7AM. Most days he walked around the compound in casual attire - the CCS didn’t enforce a military dress code on premises. But today he was different because a new CCS agent was being tried. He had on a standard issue military green t-shirt, camo pants and black boots asa he waited in the car outside. Chris had already left for the CCS compound. He was doing his best to remain neutral. Encourage his son but also not seem like he was very involved. Austin needed to do this on his own. It would be tough love but he would be there for his son when the trial was over - pass or fail. Austin walked out of their house right on time. As he got into the car, he looked at Austin and reached an arm around the back of his head, pulling him toward him. He kissed him on the forehead, nothing passionate, an uncle to a nephew type of kiss. Then he pulled back and looked into Austin’s eyes “I’m sorry for what you’ll go through today, Austin. But you are ready. And you will be one of us soon enough.”

11:21 Austin_Carson: The past few weeks had been hell, but every moment of my life was consumed by preparations for the trial. Not gonna lie to myself, there were times when I fucking hated it. Especially when Alex forbade me even from jerking myself off. I mean, what the fuck? I came this close to rebellion… but I didn’t. I trusted Alex. If he told me to jump, I’d say how high. If he told me to become a goddamn fucking monk, that’s what I did. He’d never led me wrong. He beat the fucking hell out of me, body and mind, but I took it, every bit of it. It was just pain, I could endure it. I wanted this so bad I could taste it. Every time I felt like saying fuck it, I had this vision in my head, of me standing in front of Alex and my Dad at the end of the trial, receiving my commission. I wanted it. I visualized it. I endured it all. Even my food… every single fucking calorie was mapped out by Alex. I felt the effects though, my energy levels, my clarity of thought, my response times, everything was shooting through the roof.

11:21 Austin_Carson: Alex knew what he was doing. Finally, the day arrived. I’d been resting for the past few days, enjoying quiet and solitude, in preparation for the start of the trial. I needed it. Strangely, on the day, I wasn’t excited or nervous. I should have been, but I was calm, clear-headed, and ready. Alex arrived in gear, green t-shirt, camo pants and boots. I was wearing the same as I’d been instructed. I looked at him, and swallowed once as I got into the car and he put his arm around me, giving me a fatherly kiss on the forehead. It felt really special. In that moment, I couldn’t even begin to articulate how I felt about Alex, Dad, Uncle, Hero all rolled up into one. Making him proud would mean more to me even than making my Dad proud would. For a brief moment, I let myself realize just how incredibly good looking Alex was, his tight trimmed, red beard, the hard, fierce handsome cut to his face, his incredible musculature bursting out of every seam of his gear. I knew, objectively, that I was stronger than Alex now, at least in terms of what I could lift in the gym, but there were many kinds of strength, and Alex radiated alpha power off the scales. What a man. My dick twitched only briefly, then, I squashed it. I was too close to him to feel that way about him. He was like a second dad to me. I responded as he pulled me back and looked in my eyes, “Alex, I’m certain that what you, my Dad, and the others have gone through to keep me safe will make this whole trial seem like a picnic. I can do it. You deserve it. It’s time for me to pay back everything you’ve done for me. Time for me to do my part.”.

11:21 Captain_Alex_Jennings: What Austin said made Alex feel so proud in that moment. Alex didn’t do all of this because he was paid to. Or because he was trying to appeal to Chris in some way. He had known Austin since he was a little tyke and he had become the son Alex didn’t have. He loved this kid.

11:21 Captain_Alex_Jennings: He mused up Austin’s buzz cut hair and then positioned his hand on his head so he forced Austin to look in his direction. “Austin, this isn’t about what I deserve. This is not payback for me. I’ve been fortunate enough to grow up and live the life I wanted with the CCS. Make no mistake, today is about you. It’s about what you deserve. It’s about your future. I’ve just been lucky enough to come along for the ride.” His eyes betrayed him in the moment as water started to fill them, but holding his gaze into Austin’s eyes. Then he turned to look out the front windshield of the truck, putting the truck into drive and starting to quickly journey to the trial.

11:21 Captain_Alex_Jennings: CCS headquarters was where the trial started. The ride took 10 minutes and Alex didn’t want to talk much. He wanted to leave the time for Austin to focus and mentally prepare himself. They arrived at the gatehouse on the main road and were cleared by security as had been the case thousands of times beforehand. The long one mile drive through the woods from the gatehouse to the main building passed through two other checkpoints until they circled up to the main entrance of the nondescript low-rise government building that housed the secret agency. The CCS compound was massive but the trial would start here, in the depths of the headquarters.

11:21 Captain_Alex_Jennings: As they arrived 158 men lined the driveway, standing together shoulder to shoulder on each side as the car approached the front portico. The CCS had its own regalia, modeled mostly after the Navy since their origin was an offshoot from the Navy Seals - dark blue, gold and white the primary colors of their formal attire. At the entrance was Chris Carson, his thick muscled body stretching his outfit, the sun angling in and reflecting off of his shaved head.

11:21 Captain_Alex_Jennings: “These are the active, non-deployed brothers of the CCS,” Alex said as he brought the car to a stop. “They will be watching and judging you. And this is where I leave you. I’ll be there waiting for you on the other side.”

11:21 Austin_Carson: As Alex turned around to focus on driving, I felt sure I’d seen a glint in Alex’s eyes. This was a big moment. Huge. And despite everything that Alex had said, I knew I was doing it for him as much as for myself. As much because I wanted this as because I wanted to make him proud. We pulled up through the main CCS compound, up the main driveway. I was awed at the men lining the driveway, dressed in their formal uniforms. What an honor. I felt small for a moment, then I saw my dad standing at the top of the steps to the main entrance. Damn. He looked every inch the Commander he was. I turned, and nodded at Alex. Reaching out and giving his shoulder a squeeze, trying to convey in that simple gesture how grateful I was to him. I got out of the car, my back held ramrod straight, and walked at a dignified pace up the steps, stopping in front of my father. But right now he wasn’t my father, and I wasn’t his son. I was an applicant to the CCS and he was the Commander. I stood with my hands clasped behind my back. If I passed the trials, then I would have the privilege of saluting him. But he wasn’t my commanding officer, not yet. I spoke firmly, in a steady voice, confident, but not arrogant, “Sir, permission to begin the trial, sir.”

11:21 Captain_Alex_Jennings: Alex pulled away in his truck as the silence surrounding them all was impressive. Just birds chirping, the wind blowing gently and some of the coldest, hardest trained military men the US had staring at the young 19 year old Austin.

11:21 Commander_Chris_Carson: Chris’ eyes narrowed as Austin addressed him. He looked at him long and hard, not for an instant betraying his duty as the head of the CCS to crack a smile or show compassion. The long silence would have been uncomfortable for many but not for Chris, or anyone else who was military trained. Finally however, Chris spoke. “Permission granted.” He replied. He turned his head to the left “Corporal Falk, please escort initiate Carson to phase one of the trial.”

11:21 Commander_Chris_Carson: The CCS agents who had been assembled to line the driveway were arranged by seniority but as was the custom, the newest inducted CCS agent would stand with the commander to lead the newest initiate to his trial. Andrew Falk stepped forward, 19 years old, blonde with blue eyes, not as thickly built as Austin but better proportioned and strong as an ox at 6’2 215. He had arrived just 4 months earlier but it really was only 2 months that Austin had gotten to meet and know him. The first two months, unknown to Austin, was the recovery from his trial.

11:21 Corporal_Andrew_Falk: During those two months, Austin and Andrew had become fast friends and spent time training together. Alex had made him a training partner for Austin so it was hard for Andrew not to smile as he approached. But he kept it together as he stepped right up into Austin’s face. “Initiate Carson. You willingly accept the test of entry into the Covert Combat Squad division of the United States military, knowing full well you may die during this trial?”

11:21 Austin_Carson: My father lets the silence build and build. I was calm, centred, and unruffled. This was what I wanted. He finally broke the silence, and I was genuinely surprised when Andrew stepped forward at my Father’s summons. Damn. Andrew was a good dude, and an excellent training partner, farmboy strong and brave as fuck. I liked him. But I didn’t let any of that show. He got into my face, and I kept my gaze impassive as he asked me whether I was willing to die. I reply, “I willingly accept the test of entry, without reservation, knowing full well that I may die during the course of the trial.”

11:21 Corporal_Andrew_Falk: Corporal Falk held Austin’s gaze, then turned abruptly and started to walk forward and into the building. Behind, the men of the CCS stood silently as Austin followed. Chris fell in behind and then the rest of the agents behind him. Andrew led them into the lobby and down the main hall, past reception. The hall was lined with pictures of the past and current CCS leadership. Then pictures of every CCS agent that had fallen in the field. They were all watching as Andrew led Austin into the depths of the building.

11:21 Corporal_Andrew_Falk: They approached the blast door leading back into the rest of the building but instead of going through it, they turned to the right and went down the emergency stairs. Andrew and Austin continued alone as the agents diverted to the left and entered into the building’s auditorium where the trial would be broadcast on large screens. CCS agents liked to watch the trial for many reasons - seeing their potential partner in action was the main reason but most would also admit they liked to compare their own abilities to the new guy in town.

11:21 Corporal_Andrew_Falk: Andrew led Austin down 4 flights of stairs to the bottom. This was unfamiliar territory, even for Austin who had spent years in this building and only thought there were 3 basement levels. But then again, they’d never been in the emergency stairs before. Andrew used his eyes and fingers to open the emergency door. They stepped out into a hallway that was lit by red lights, walking down it past 4 doors before coming to a heavy metal door at the end of the hallway. The crest of the CCS was painted on it

11:21 Corporal_Andrew_Falk: Andrew moved to the side and looked at Austin. “Knock on the door to begin. Good luck, initiate Carson.” He said formally, continuing to play the part of soldier instead of friend.

11:21 Austin_Carson: I follow Andrew as he leads me deep into the CCS HQ, down the emergency stairs, which I never even knew existed until today. Deeper and deeper we went, down 4 flights, which was strange, considering I thought there were only three basement levels. Finally, at the end of a hallway, illuminated by red lights, giving an ominous tinge to the surroundings, was a steel door. I received my instructions from Andrew, and nodded respectfully. I knocked on the door, announcing myself, “Austin Carson, reporting for the first trial.”

11:21 Corporal_Andrew_Falk: Andrew slipped down the wall and back into the darkness of the hallway as the lights at the far end had been extinguished. Silence awaited Austin for about 20 seconds before a loud alarm sounded for 3 seconds, then a series of clicking. Locks, bolts turning, almost like a safe opening up. Finally it stopped and the door in front of him slowly opened. Inside the doorway was Nick Wilson. Unlike the others, Nick was dressed more like Alex. He had on a military green wife beater, the shoulders and muscled arms of his 245 pound 6’4” frame exposed, hard and thick. He wore camo combat trousers and black boots
